Just a comment about needing the rumour, there is a way to get the rumour without having to pay for it. I can't really remember where exactly I got it from, but I think it was from a Noppon with a trophy symbol in Argentum. You can get it for free by talking to him and save on some gold. I don't have proof for it, but when I re-play the game (will be awhile for it) I'll try to get some proof for it if someone hasn't done so by then.

Edge, i beleive it was Tiwitiwi, the nopon right next to the first salvage point that has star conversations in Argentum. I think it was in chapter 3 or begining of 4. Atleast he comes to mind because he always talked about wanting to be a salvager but being affraid to dive because of the monsters, and it makes sense since it was his granpypon that had kassandra who got eaten by that fish on a dive.

When I first tried this, I only had silver and gold cylinders and wasn't getting anywhere after about 10 tries. Then I bought a normal cylinder, didn't press anything when jumping and got the monster to spawn right away

PSA for anyone struggling, no other requirements than whats in this video, i just did it after just arriving @ ardain, entire party is lvl 31, took me nearly 30 normal cylinders to get him to spawn, seems completely random. mine spawned right at dusk. Had no problems killing him other than the super he used at 30% hp that nearly one shot my whole team, other than that super easy. thanks for the vid BeardBear!

Than i thought it was cuz each blade i had equipped had salvage mastery so i removed all of them than tried about 20 more normal cylinders and finally got it. Was really annoying tbh

Going to add here just so people know that the encounter is random, from what I have figured out is that you have to use the salvage point during high tide, from that point it is a crap shoot either you get lucky and get it on your first dive or you end up using a lot of cylinders

Spent 20+ cylinders at this location and nothing, went to the salvage point east of the factory "Near Chansagh Wastes" and got it on the second try without pressing buttons. The Merc info says it's sighted in C Wastes as well.

Well, did it today. Took 5 dives (morning) the first try. The stupid thing flew off the cliff 2/3 in the fight and the fight got cancelled after no one could hit it...lol! Tried again (7 times) got it again... Beat and gat the same blade as here (kasandra). Thank You!

Ah, so that's how I get Kasandra. The only Rare Blades I need from Core Crystals are Akhos and Kos-mos.

I expected to lose. It was tough, but doable. Actually the monster has only one move (Lighting Storm) that is really dangerous. It uses it at the end of the battle and it almost killed my whole group. If you can survive this you will win.

Rarchieo I burned down the door that requires high number of blades so I could climb to the top up with the crane, snuck past the super high level enemies up top, then jumped down to edges in the cliff so I could fall just far enough not to instantly die before falling further. Didn't even find the section with the spiders till I went looking for it a couple chapters later

You also need to get the gate key. Going through the wastes manually and salvaging won't work. Burned about 50 cylinders and then got the key and it finally showed up

This is late but I spent over 50+ cylinders by the factory entrance and he didn't spawn once. But the moment I go to the salvage point near the port entrance, he starts spawning the freak. Hope this helps you.

maybe you got it already, check on your information list. You can get it talking to a nopon in the guild's base, so maybe you got it already

if you buy stuff from the shop, especially informants, item stays there greyed out but able to check the info. You can exit the shop and enter and it will still be there. If it's not, maybe it's development level of mor ardain, but I doubt it since I actually bought it on dev 2 for 8k (so it should be the 10k displayed in the video on dev 1) If it's not there, I think it might be another requirement. Unlocking the secret area? Completion of another quest?.. This game literally demands you to read/experiment EVERYTHING. What a huge grind, even with a lot less quests per town than XC1, where you reached a place and you could literally chainquest the periphery for dozens of hours before advancing. Here you have to unlock afinity levels, read individual skill reqs, try foods/speak to chars/kill mobs, look for specific mobs across HUGE areas, for EVERY SINGLE BLADE from 2 dozens, and infinite more RNG ones. And boy, any lifeline FAQs will take FOREVER due to the world scale, story lenght and tridimensionality of it making it uncheatable (well, battle system can be cheated as always, but that's the real skill of auto-attack, timing combo, elemental/effect sequence chain system... boy I lost my breath there). Takahashi really learned how to make timesinks ever since he got on the Nintendo boat... and I LOVE IT

Guys, you don't need to buy the information. You can actually get it for free by talking to *Razzlydazzly* (a Nopon) in Argentum Trade Guild, Goldmouth Exit Dock (at the opposite side of the Goldmouth Return Port) and then he will give the information to you for free just by talking to him.

Honestly as much as journalists complain the non-rng rare blades may be the most op in the game so far other than kos-mos. If they actually did a few side quests and stopped complaining calling it a gacha when it's not they would easily have a God tier rare blade team in the game.

I had this problem until I used a normal cylinder and messed up EVERY...SINGLE...SALVAGE BUTTON COMBO on purpose!!! I didn't push anything on the controller before making a dive into the clouds. Not sure if this is it but it worked for me just fine two times in a row.

Try to buy the silver salvage suit, its better then the normal ones. I only needed to use it once and i had the boss already, so i recomend you guys that.
