TerraSync Basic Data Collection

This is an overview of basic data collection using Trimble's TerraSync software. It consists of collecting point, line and area features.

Very interesting Video! But I have a question: I took some points and always paused it when I moved to another point. When I changed to the map, there were no points shown. The only points that were shown were those where I walked between the points I marked. At the end when I saved the file, it worked, BUT when I reopened the file (Data/Existing file/name of the file/open) to see if the point are show on the map, the table show me as "Name": (point with X in it) Point_generic . Is that normal? Because when I changed then to the map again, there wehr not the 83 Points I recorded but only this 1 point with an X in it. A second line, show the same point with X but with a box around it. Under the table (#/Name/Label1), positions are 83 (not 1). What could be wrong here? I hope you can understand my questions and help me if possible. Thank you!!

That was interesting,, thanks. I am wondering though, I have a Trimble GeoExplorer XM 2008 Series, why would I have to have this TerraSync software before I can add an external antenna to the GPS? I have been watching most of the related items on KZbin but no explanation so far. Thanks again.

Hello, I use Terrasync in a 2005 Geoxh, when I connect a non-zephyr antenna (unknown) the following announcement comes out: an external antenna has been connected: please check your antenna settings. I have set the antenna type to unknown, and never confirm. What else should I configure?
