Of all the wildcard picks I’ve seen so far this is the one I like the most. It looks incredibly potent. Only reason I couldn’t go for it myself is - as a Liverpool-fan - I’ve decided I’ll never put an Everton player on my team. 😂 A handicap? Perhaps. Not a major one imho. And it’s fun to have certain limitations that force you to make different decisions than what ”the numbers say”.

I'm having the same dilemma choosing between Salah and Diaz. I'm really leaning towards keeping Salah even if the rest of my team is weaker. A well rested Salah, on pens, less of a rotation and injury risk 🤷‍♀ I can't bring myself to get rid of him. Worst case scenario, can downgrade him to literally anyone but you'd be kinda stuck with Diaz and an expensive squad elsewhere

I think Raya is a standout pick atm - because he's nailed at 5.5m and Timber is a rotation risk, White isn't currently justifying his price and Saliba doesn't have enough threat for a 6m defender. If he hits 16 cs and plays 38 games that's 140 points without saves. TAA got 122 last season (albeit he had issues) and 156 the season before. Obviously the expectation with TAA is to hit 200 points. But with these achievable conditions if Raya hit 140 points that's 25p/pm (per million) If TAA hit 200 points that's 28.6p/pm. There isn't much in it and I think I've lowballed Raya here and set high expectations for TAA. The other thing is there's a Raya bandwagon so his price is increasing (profit is good) but with Liverpool having a good defence there is an option to cash in that profit later and go Raya -> Allison who will probably drop to 5.4m due to his injury concerns.

Question on the “big chances” for Watkins.. does it go down as 2 big chances with that raya double save? If so he’s getting an extra big chance due to poor finishing, so if that’s the case it’s a extremely unreliable way to look at something solely

very similar thinking to me but I have played wildcard last saturday cause i pretty much knew what i needed to catch price rise wise, my third defender is split between aina, faes and mazraoui with mazraoui coming in instead of leaf davis. I think considering I can play aina and faes for the next two games and then mazraoui comes in for his strong run, I can pretty much guarantee a good home game for the third defender every week. In midfield I think I would put maddison slightly above semenyo. Next two games maddison might have slightly lower score but you never know, we're talking about spurs and bournemouth, maddison could outscore semenyo even in worse fixtures and after that maddison has superior fixtures. For attackers I already have vardy from GW5 cause I knew id be going for him anyway in GW6, i think his run is worth the punt and he'll be my 7-8 attacker anyway. I was very cautious not to push too hard on either everton or leicester cause i feel it is a big risk, in the end they are both pretty much bottom tier clubs. It was always going to be vardy + mcneil or calvert lewin and leicester mid. In the end I just about decided on vardy and mcneil just because i think vardy is a better overall goalscorer and his possible benching does not bother me too much. As for goalkeeping/second striker this is now a bit of an issue, i will wait till the last second, it's pretty much raya and jackson or sanchez and havertz. I don't really think pickford is good enough for me, i dont trust everton at all. Chelsea might end up being relatively strong team this year so I am willing to take a slight punt there. Don't think I have ever considered getting watkins, I feel like duran might get a game here or there and also I dont see a point in spending so much on a striker that you never captain anyway. Maybe that's wrong thinking but Haaland just makes it so that you kinda have to guarantee exceptional returns from any 9+ cost player. And only consistent option I see is saka. Luis diaz mb? 6 weeks I ago nobody wanted to bring luis diaz in instead of jota, I honestly was wondering why, I had picked diaz over jota last year and i had decent luck with him, but i think he's not gonna be able to produce the same game to game. He feels sort of like martinelli to me, very hard working, when liverpool are gonna have harder fixtures, you're not gonna see him going forward so much, that will fall on other players like salah, jota, gakpo, etc.

Yes but the majority of the game who are casuals are unlikely to be around you in rank. The pricing at the start of the season helped us all go in different directions, only took 5 GWs to restore a template. Sigh...

I like this team, i'm hovering over my WC button but really reluctant at the minute. I have Salah and Haaland and dont really want to WC Salah out against Wolves but i have J Pedro and my only playable bench player at the minute is Rico Lewis. Tempted to sit tight and hope for early team news, if Lewis plays i hold and if not I have a team prepped to move quickly.

The reason I think Everton's defence is so porous is because they miss Onana. Even with Brathwaite back, their current midfield does not offer the same physicality. Tielemans is a different player because Onana is a one man workhorse. I personally am avoiding Everton assets as they're too volatile.

For me this midfield is too weak with Rogers, Semenyo and McNeil as budget players. Especially with the extra points you can gain from midfield with goals and clean sheets. I've got a similar team but Verbruggen in goal, Lewis instead of Aina, Maddison instead of Saka and Diaz instead of McNeil. Same forward line. If it all goes wrong I can just downgrade Watkins to a 6mil and upgrade Maddison to Saka in a couple of weeks
