Please choose one to play Solanki or wood and colwill or Robinson???
@FPLSelectionКүн бұрын
I would play Robinson over Colwill every time as he has a lot of attacking threat and the Chelsea defence is very unreliable for clean sheets. Solanke v Wood is a tricky one, I dont see either Forest or Spurs scoring more than once against Liverpool and Arsenal, so because Wood tends to be involved in a higher percentage of Forests goals and Spurs share the goals around more players id probably pick Wood, but its almost a coin flip in reality.

I need your help. I have a backline of Trent-Robinson-Timber-Aina-Greaves. Timber is likely to be out due to a hamstring injury. Would you go to Gabriel or Hall? Or even Munoz? I am currently sitting top 2k so i feel like i need to get Timber out. And starting Trent-Robinson alongside Gabriel/Hall.

I would get Gabriel, I think hes the best defender in the game and I will be keeping him all season most likely, plays for the best defence and is always threatening at set pieces. His ownership in the top 2k is probably almost 100% so I wouldnt bet against him. I do really like Hall and Munoz, but both would be behind Gabriel for me, probably Hall over Munoz because I think Newcastle are a better defence, but both have good potential for attacking returns and Palaces upcoming fixtures might bring more clean sheets.

@ Thank you for your answer. I’m just worried that Arsenals defence is getting worse now with Timber and White sidelined. And that Newcastle has proven themselves really good defensively. Aswell as the price tag. But I totally get what you are saying and will most likely end up getting Gabriel just to not miss out when other players around this rank has him.

By the way I forgot to mention earlier I havnt seen the Timber injury confirmed? He was taken off yesterday but havnt heard it confirmed that hes out for the next game. I did have a quick look at defensive stats as you got me wondering if Arsenal are still a good defence and they are still statistically the best defence this season with the lowest XG against per 90. But looking at the last 5 games since Newcastle have been on their great form its very close between them and Arsenal. Arsenal are on 0.73 XGA per 90 and Newcastle on 0.618 XGA per 90. 2/5 Clean sheets for Arsenal and 4/5 for Newcastle. I guess you can spin it either way, but for me Gabriel is the only must own defender in the game, Hall is great and probably 3rd or 4th on my list overall. I guess that could change if its Lewis-Skelly and Partey at fullback every week though!

I have Salah, Palmer, Sarr, Gordon / Enzo Pedro, Isak, Jackson 1M It seems fine but I want a united player, do you think I should roll, or do Enzo to Amad, or -4 Jackson out for a cheap forward + Enzo to Bruno?
@LilTekkymusicКүн бұрын
me personally i would just do enzo to Amad but I would also consider taking out jackson to maybe a wood if not this week next week
@FPLSelectionКүн бұрын
I think it depends on how long you want the United players for, if its just for 1 week against Southampton I would just roll as it looks like you already have a good front 7 and Enzo is a good 8th attacker to come off the bench. Southampton are bad, but United are very inconsistent at the moment. If youre looking long term I think Amad is a better 8th attacker than Enzo, you could rotate him with Sarr maybe, but for me Bruno is the best United pick, you just have to commit to him for a long stretch of games and play him every week to get the full benefit as he will have ups and downs, but average out plenty of points over over a longer run. The hit is probably not worth it if you can wait another week, but if your certain you want Bruno long term then it will pay back over 8-10 weeks compared with Amad.

when should the ideal wildcard be?
@FPLSelection2 күн бұрын
Dont think the ideal weeks are clear at the moment, once we know the likely double and blank weeks after the next round of the league and FA cup it should be a little easier to narrow it down to a few options. For myself at the moment im just waiting to see how the cup draws progress and will start to study the ideal time for the assistant manager chip, that has the most potential for points so ill work everything else around that most likely.

Wildcard now, make a team you don’t have to change for 5 weeks and you pretty much get another wildcard with 5 transfers
@FPLSelectionКүн бұрын
@LilTekkymusic @jierryllhughes940 I think thats a great strategy if you are 2 or 3 transfers away from the team you want right now. I did this with my first wildcard in gameweek 3, had 2 free transfers and had 2 or 3 moves I wanted to make, but thought exactly the same as you, use the wildcard to make the changes, sorted out my bench to cover any issues and kept my transfers building up for another few weeks. One caveat is that I used my bench boost gameweek 1, so it is handy to play the wildcard somewhere close to the bench boost either before or after, but for me the bench boost is never that great anyway as you normally have to compromise in other ways and you dont always gain much from it.
