Stay strong and write on! Good review. I love my Himalaya in blue! such good color for resin/acrylic.

Thank you Aaron for this interesting review. If it were my choice I'd choose the blue pen. However, I would ask for the steel flex nib option and pay the $32 (or the UK equivalent). I think the finish on the blue pen is superb. Having said that, I'm not entirely convinced that I would need anything more than the steel nib. I can see the differences with the gold nib in the writing sample but that comes at 4 times the price of steel. The steel version is an absolute bargain, in my opinion.

David Anderson I see what you are saying. The gold nib is definitely fun to use, however you can't beat the price of the steel nib.

I have been curious about how different their gold nib is. Great review and comparison. Thank you.

Aaron i'm with you i also prefer the blue pen it is a really nice shade of blue to me perfect i do really like it so i am going to get one blue of course and that's a big thanks to you Sir. As soon as you revealed the nib i said to myself that is a gold nib. It was a totally surprised me that they are now making real gold nibs. Excellently awesome my friend and a nice surprise well worth the wait thanks again.

My most pricey pen is the hyped Noodler's Ahab with steel "flex" nib that doesn't really flex. I would rather save the money for a vintage flex fountain pen. Ahab is my worst purchase. It totally turned me off to steel "flex" nibs in general.
