Great demonstration of the FPV system and I hope there will be more to come on the "step by step video".

Sir, I cannot thank you enough for taking the time and walking me through this process step by step. The dji 03 unit and speedybee fc was about to get thrown in the trash before I found this series.

Thank you for your kind words. Feel free to comment in any of the videos if you feel I wasn't clear enough and you need better explanation. This part of the hobby is so much fun. Flight controllers and Inav seem intimating at first glance, but it will all start clicking when you spend a few minutes with it. Please keep me up to date with your build and if you record your flights let me know so I can see!

Thanks for starting this series! I've already got the motionsic stuff, the O3 and even the V2 googles sitting on my bench. I was thinking of putting them in my Flex RV-8 10E. Right now, my RV-8 has an Aura stabilizer in it, but I'm kinda liking the idea of using a flight controller and getting into iNAV. I just can't decide if I should order the SpeedyBee controller now, or wait for you to finish the series and see how it goes. Have you tried looking through the canopy on your T-28 with the camera? Personally, I think I'd tolerate a little distortion to have the canopy intact. Looks better IMHO. Of course if the distortion is really bad, I 'spose I could get over how it looks.

Thanks for your comment! I absolutely hate cutting away the canopy and taking away the natural look of the plane, but once you are in the air you don't think about that as much anymore. There is always the option of having a spare untouched canopy that is left on when the plane is in static mode. I had considered that on my last build, but in reality, it looks pretty cool with the Motionsic gear mounted. I agree a little distortion is tolerable, but there is also the consideration of the DJI O3 Air Unit and how hot it gets when it is closed up. Is the fan blowing on it enough during the hot summer months since the air unit overheats so easy and could shut down during flight? One of the nice things about the E-flite CZ T-28 Trojan is the canopy is replaceable. Everything that is done to convert this plane to FPV can be reversed with minimal effort. I do plan to speak or ramble a bit on this in the future video where the Motionsic B.A.G. is placed in the cockpit. Thanks for watching!

Does the wind through the canopy present any problems to the camera stability?
@salisburyrc25 күн бұрын
None at all. I have this setup on two planes now and have no issues. Thanks for the question. 😁

Good morning Sir. You too are located in South Alabama? I'm living in Daleville. Where do you fly?

Hey John! We fly out of Eastgate Park outside of Dothan. There is also Wiregrass Radio Control Club just north of Headland. Check out our FB Group - Eastgate Park RC Flyers. Thanks for watching!
