Nicely done. Alot to be cognizant of with the low hanging wire crossing the track, fencing, over hanging trees, which group of vehicles to stay with if they separate like they did here, rapidly fluctuating speeds, trying to stay off the bumper of the vehicle your chasing while not falling behind and being in the windscreen of the car behind who trying to move up... lots to manage. Nicely done. You use a spotter or a crows nest like a scissor lift? I'm sure both. That's how I would do it. If your using goggles then for sure a spotter to keep you off the cars coming up your blind spot. I recon thats the only way. If you ever need a wingman give me a call... I'll fly with ya😼

@@chocolatezt yes and no: generally speaking people who have dealt with a bunch of different movement/environment interaction systems will have a much easier time internalizing and simulating the whole system and adapting between conditions, games are a pale second best to just straight up having done stuff like this as young as possible but a pale second best is a LOT better than nothing and it's an easy-access pale second best. that said being able to actually process and internalize all the fiddly settings in the interface software and translate/interpret all that in-to/out-of the real world and deal with and even enjoy the practical aspects of the hobby is all going to make a much bigger difference in that learning curve sooooo...playing a game would help a bit, playing various games would help a bit more, having fun breaking down game mechanics or problem solving would _genuinely_ help, and designing a game would probably help quite a lot even compared to prior practical experience. ...funny that playing Factorio or SatisFactory would probably genuinely be more help with getting into this than playing a bunch of racing sims or ace combat whatever-they-are-up-to-now or even a proper flight simulator (both of those games are -easy- interesting and involving ways to accidentally teach yourself circuit design and basic problemassessment->programming->output).

@@chocolatezt my thinking was that there wasn't a whole lot of difference in the learnign curve for learning to fly the things either way, but stuff like I rambled off would go a looooooong way towards trivializing finagly little issues and even making them enjoyable/interesting making the hobby as a whole work better for people and giving them a much stronger basis from which to work on things like piloting and neat applications. in short "games help, but not all that much...on the other hand some games actually _do_ help substantially with a lot of the peripherals".

the title makes it sound like theyre racing but then judging by the description this was a camera drone for getting a good (really good) view of the race, im guessing it could actually go much much quicker especially considering the camera for fpv view is under the drone meaning that in order for us to be able to see ahead of it it has to be directing most of its thrust downwards rather than forwards which would point the camera perpendicular to the ground, but have all 4(?) rotors directed in the movement direction. so in other words i think in an actual race the drone would just sweep it wouldnt even be close lol, makes sense when you consider its mass must be like 0.01% of the car's haha
