can you help me decide on what drone to have? i have the neo fpv and is now enjoying it but want to have one that is reliable and have long range but not as expensive to damage. TX and RX, charger and drone :)

interesting. so is there a brand that does FPV on Android App? Non DJI? I got out of flying 10 yr ago as FPV was coming into play and had a fatshark dominator but it was awful, uncomfortable, small and low quality. DJI stuff seems quite good now, but I just fly in MSFS 2020 VR on Pico 4 and love it. Some solution offering Pico 4 HMD for FPV would be awesome and I'd dust off the Tricopter once more.

I have a video on this channel "How to turn your smartphone to FPV Goggles? Cheap DIY FPV setup 2020" the same $20 adapter does work on Pico for analog drones. and any other system with HDMI output can be connect with a USB HDMI capture card too.

So I’m a little confused, it does work but only if you stream it from your phone?

DJI Fly app does not show video because DJI does not add support. You can mirror your smartphone screen or laptop to the headset though.

There are freeware digital transmitted system, those would probably work well with headsets.. especially if the developers understood that headsets are cheap and better quality than FPV goggles. They would most likely develope systems for these.
