FPV GT F 351 Review and 0-100 km/h in 4.6-seconds

I grabbed the keys to FPV's most powerful car ever, the GT F. This short video includes a 0-100km/h run and a great sample of some noises the GT F makes.
Production has been limited to just 500 units and almost all have now been accounted for. Producing 351kW in standard form, the GT F is capable of almost 420kW while in transient overboost!

There is no "overboost" feature... the 404kW is always available until ambient temps get too high and the ECU will pull boost.

Bang on, Murat. Inlet air temps are a problem with Miami-equipped Falcons. I’ve spent plenty of time data logging and IATs generally head upwards once started and, no matter how cool the day is (and I live in a relatively cold part of the country) they will not come back down unless you park it with the bonnet up. In short, the inlet manifold/supercharger housing gets heat soaked and causes the tune to retard timing and reduce boost. It really would’ve been great if they had completed the inter cooler setup they obviously started. I’ve got other projects on the go but I will be getting the intercooler core in my GS functioning (the one that’s already fitted in the inlet manifold of the Miami V8, but missing the end tanks/plumbing/heat exchanger) or doing a water/meth injection setup.

@@bengibson3955 I just purchased a stock GS and am looking to do the same. Trying to find a good FPV/Ford performance place around Sydney. Also looking at the KPM Street fighter stage 2 kit. For under 5k to go 460kw is really good bang for bucks.

@@almightydamos Yeah the Herrod and KPM kits are great BFYB. I’m a little bit too much of a DIY-er (otherwise knows as a massive tightarse) to take the easy path like that. I’ve got a professional licence for PCMTec and just enough knowledge to get me into trouble. In all seriousness, I’ve built and tuned a Subaru that saw several seasons of club-level Motorsport without going pop, and we all know how fragile those things are. I’ve basically sifted through the tunes of all the other Miami-equipped Fords that have more grunt than my lowly GS and it’s given me a bit of guidance on what can be pushed (like the 50% max throttle opening for the GS vs 80% for the equivalent GT) without risking the health of the engine.

Have you seen the Dyno run of a stock GT-F and VF GTS? The GT-F has more rwkw as Ford under estimates there cars and holden over estimates.

I know Ford didn't have the the money to the last gtf but if it was me I would change the suspension package coil over upgrade brake upgrade to ap racing six piston front four piston rear few more tech stuff exhaust mode to different settings and a few other things and I reckon that gtf would have been a dam machine and faster

Hmmm my 08 SRT8 does it 4.72 it has an intake, I replaced the mufflers with straight through style for the extra noise and bit of a tickle on the tune...

@@rodneymcgiveron settle down champ theres nothing wrong with a Hemi, Ford Australia completely screwed us with the GT the rear tyres are too narrow the suspension set up was completely wrong for that they said it was meant to be. That car when set up properly with wider 295 preferably and stickier tyres and that power should easily pull low 4 sec high 3sec 0-100. The comparison was made that if my 2 ton tank can make it in 4.72 with only around 270wKw then the GT with 70wkw more should easily be faster.

Only just 18 now but my next car is defiantly going to be a fpv xr6 ford falcon in the same colour as the one on the video. Now it's just a matter of saving up for that race car !

I have a v6 nissan 370 gt crossover which is the same engine as a 370z and it does 100kmh in 5.2 so thats not much faster to 100

Pfffft, an LSA clubby does it in 4.6 easily, and for the same money has park assist, heads up display, much nicer seats & interior, and out handles & stops the Gtf. And it also allows me to sit in it without smashing my knees on the steering column.

Ash Cosmo you got one with heaps of problems I saw, yours was the only one I've ever seen with them problems, and just because one ford is fucked that doesn't mean that they're all fucked 😂 the FGX still has more updated technology then the Holdens, they just don't have a nicer finish but the ones with full leather interior look way better in my opinion 👌

Get a grip, since when is a stock F6 quicker than an LSA clubby or GTS? Seriously do your research, and really? More features? Give me some of what your on, go look at the brochures on line, ford is seriously under spec. Look at the figures, don't just follow brand..

Also the Holden Redline does it in 5 seconds NA as well and the GTS does it in 4.4 seconds and again it depends on how cold it is, the hotter it gets the holden still runs a treat,but the ford will lose power to save the supercharger ?
