Very nice comparison, exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!

Ahh great. So what do you think?
@sr-prod4 жыл бұрын
@@robmulally That Hero9 looks really sweet in both hypersmooth and reelsteady. I agree that reelsteady still looks a bit better but hypersmooth seems to be getting really close. Also for ex. at 1:45 I was surprised to see that the Hero9 seems to handle better the direct sunlight situations with quite a bit less annoying sunflares On a side note, the KZbin compression sadly really ruins the footage and by making it look blocky. Next time try to upload in higher resolution like 4k even if your footage was shot in 1080p as KZbin treats 4k a bit better
@robmulally4 жыл бұрын
Yeah I noticed that, probably didn't do a great job at my end . Footage was all 2.7k I should have just done it 4k. Not sure what I was thinking

@@robmulally Don't worry, it seems KZbin compression has become absolutely horrendous lately anyway

Hello thanks for your video. I am having issues with RSG + Hero 9. I get some pretty noticeable vibration and stutter on default settings. Flying a GEPRC Cinelog35 that has dampening springs. Didn't really expect to have any issues using a Hero 9. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
@robmulally2 жыл бұрын
Whats your shutter speed. Try it on a bright day and make sure it's a fast shutter put the go pro on auto basically. Dampening can make it worse sometjmes if done wrong. But a low shutter speed is my first guess

The bonus vlog test is what i was looking for. Thanks Rob. Can reelsteady go stablizes long clip, like 30+minutes long footage?

When doing the walking test with Real steady vs Hyper Smooth 3.0. Did you find that hyper smooth lost focus often? I've been doing some tests and noticed there's still shakes and loss of focus at 4k. It's not buttery smooth like a gimbal would be. Wondering if real steady would fix that.
@robmulally4 жыл бұрын
I've not noticed that unless it's dark.
@coachjsu4 жыл бұрын
@@robmulally Yeah, not sure maybe it's smooth but the focus on isn't that crisp or clear. Maybe I'm using the wrong settings. Was filming out in the day light. Honestly felt like my footage was taken from a gopro released from a few years ago. Sorry, kind of ranting now.
@coachjsu4 жыл бұрын
Okay, I went out and did a test with every mode on the camera. The camera is silky smooth in wide boost and wide normal. Lin and Lin + Hoz in both boost and normal the footage becomes unfocused during certain moments.

I'm confused about all this. My 7 looks like crap when I run it through reel steady go..I know it's bc of the sensitive gyro on the 7..but I've seen other people use them with regular gopro mounts, not the soft mounted mounts. How are they doing this?
@robmulally3 жыл бұрын
If you hand hold it and walk around how does footage look? Only when it's on drone? Have you tried creating A sync point when the drone is flying flat and level I know some people swore by that technique. I've got a 7 but don't remember having any issues , was always just TPU mounted.
@scottyfpv56513 жыл бұрын
@@robmulally Thanks for replying. I'm going to try again. I recorded a test video on my drone and made sure to keep flat for a while before doing any flippy floppies.

@@robmulally Still had the issue. There are "bobbles" up and down and side to side. It only does it on the drone.
@robmulally3 жыл бұрын
@@scottyfpv5651 well if you walk around with drone I'm assuming that footage works but not when the drone is flying so it sounds like you need to soft mount to the 7. I've not seen what that looks like so it's just an educated guess

@robmulally4 жыл бұрын
@@1djhilo that's correct. The boost adds more crop , But if I show any footage that's been in rsgo that would have no stabilisation on it before being put into rsgo. (Hypersmooth off) otherwise rsgo won't let you open it.
