Hi Chris, a very well done video. Your content and presentation of the information was outstanding given the many misconceptions of this subject. Again, well done and I look forward to more videos by you. cheers, dave

Hi Chris just ran across your new channel, I got a Black Widow because of your review a few years ago and glad I did. I have bought a lot of quads since but still fly the Black Widow from time to time. 👍 I was looking for new goggles that's how I ran across this channel, great job thanks for taking the time to explain things. 🤠

Thanks so much you explained everything and opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of things to try I was doing research for a Go Pro lens and i really liked that your info was about the lens and not just the Fly pods although now i want to try them cause they seem fun

Great video Chris. This complex subject foxes CCTV installers most the time, so what hope do we have! I agree totally with the 2.8 lens for the 1/3" CCd. I actually have adopted using a Runcam 2 HD as my flight/race camera. Great sensor, brilliant lens (112degree FOV) and it runs off the birds power supply fine. Image wise it is way clearer and copes with contrast much better than even the best 1177 type units Ive used in the past. Crucially there is no perceptible latency.... That's was made the Runcam 2 viable compared to its predecessors.

nice summary. I happen to really enjoy rather large 75 FOV picture in my eYebox 7r. I am using 2.1 lens and 4:3 aspect ratio. It gives me very immersive experience. I am not bothered by the distortion of the 2.1 lens much, the edge of screen is just for orientating. I mostly look at the middle. Most people say its too much when they try it, so I know it is very personal.

When this excellent video was made the common lens for M12 cameras was 3.6mm. Then it became 2.8mm. Now the stock lens seems to be 2.2mm and anything 2.8mm & upwards is very very hard to find - especially IR blocked lenses. The digital HD FPV market is all about quads. Stock lenses are always wide angle. 😒 (For my purposes - fixed wing with pan/tilt - I prefer a 3.6mm lens, IR blocked.)

Great video. Almost looks like 2.8mm for racing and 3.6mm for freestyle.

what about the 1.8mm ive seen wherr its better then the 2.5 but everytime i search for 1.8 only can find it on banggood every where else only comes up with 2.5.

Great video Chris, can you now relate FOV topic to goggles so we understand the whole experience (what does "FOV has changed from 50° to 42°Diagonal" mean to me on the new FS D3 for example)
@KoekeBeest19857 жыл бұрын
Wich fpv camera will hold the 3.6mm lens? HS1177? Just wondering. I found the 2.5 and 3.6 were most appealing.
