Previously people used a spare cassette in their hobie to mount the trolling motor which lead to the motor rotating. Will this bracket stop the trolling motor from rotating?

the motor will not be able to pivot at all once u lock up the win nuts, and if you want them to pivot u can back off the wing nuts a tad, which will ensure movement but still lock in position with out flip flopping around, meaning there is still tension but still able to tilt left and right via motor handle.

1. When are you releasing the mount? 2. How long does your 50AH battery run the 24lb Watersnake at max speed in light current? 3. Is the Watersnake 24lb easy to use while standing up in a kayak or is it too short? Does it turn well enough without using the Hobie rudder since you'll be standing up?

We are working on a updated design, should have the new prototype soonish. Production of it should start end of June. To be posted follow us on Facebook. Look up Fpv-Power. 50ah, then worked out amp draw and divise it out for the run time. It 10 amps = 5 hours, 25amps = 2 hour and 5 amps = 10 hours. Have to do abit of research yourself on question 3. Many vids info of plp with 24lbs. Cheers.

You should tell and show viewers what this motor goes on. I watched this and the motor mount is nice, but are you putting a troll motor on a kayak? A fishing boat? Show the motor mounted on the boat and in operation on the water.

And there you are going full speed hit a stump the fiberglass studs broke allowing the prop to go back hitting the bottom of the kayak and cutting a big hole on it and then remember the Titanic.

Mmmm have you actually looked at the product properly? Adjust the motor so that the prop doesn't touch the hull when in the full back position.
