All the ladies were stunning. However ... 1) If you can't walk in your own dress - CHOP! 2) If you can see deodorant under your arms, CHOP. 3) organizers need to step up their game. Grand prize should feel just like that, a grand prize. A few seconds should at least be allotted to presenting the grand prize to the winner publicly. At this point, balls could benefit from professional event organizers. People who know how to produce a moment. Unfortunately, the performer can't do it all if you have people walking all on the runway. It's like a free-for-all. Why are all of those people behind the judges? At any real event where judging takes place, that area is sacred, particularly if you want to bring credibility to the function. It looks a hot mess and someone needs to tell them. Some of the balls in Europe really have their act together. However, they do miss a certain level of spontaneity. So, if people are going to crowd around the performers, then they need to be back in their seats before the next lady comes down the runway. Either way, the whole set up needs to be reworked.

I’ve been saying this forever the tact and decorum is lacking. House members basically using intimidation tactics on the floor, crowding the runway, ambushing the judges, judges not paying attention to the presentation etc. The scene could definitely use some organizational skills, but it all starts with the promoters. They set the tone for how their function is run because the commentators can’t do it alone. I agree with everything you stated.

If it's about the unorganized nature of the function people deserve better than this. Period. Too many people try to pass off poorly organized functions as just being "real and raw." This is sloppy, rushed and tacky. If you win your category, there should be that moment of public acknowledgment. Let the child walk the runway and receive his/her applause. Feel it. Do it up. Don't rush him/her off the stage as if they are the reason the organizers don't have enough time. That is late and krass. Step it up. Seriously. You can be real, you can be raw, but you can also make sure people get their due, publicly.
