God Bless you Father Alar, for the inspiring homily and praises for Archbishop Cordileoni. How come him & other catholic leaders did not speak up in 2020? Our great nation would not have been in the state We are in, if USCCB had stood up for morals and all that you discussed. Thank God for good priests like you who are waking up. We remember a "voice crying in the wilderness" Fr. Altman who stood up and was persecuted and stripped of his faculties. It is never too late to shepherd your flock. Our Lord Jesus trusted you guys with this mission and many have failed. This is a battle of good vs evil and your spiritual children need you now. God Bless You and May His light shine upon you.

Haven't been around for a while but I saw this title and Fr. Alar and I clicked on it straight away. I'm nearing the first anniversary of my return home; (still going strong too), praise God. That aside I have a radically different view of what it means to live in a state of grace. It is nice to hear the voice of an old friend who was thoughtful enough to upload a whole number of videos. When the pope gave Nancy Pelosi Communion after Bishop Cordeleon Refused her communion, but only after soul searching and speaking directly to her on more than one occasion, it was a last straw for me as a Catholic. He excommunicated himself from the Catholic Church with his public statements in support of abortion at every stage of pregnancy. By his actions, he also supports laws that support abortion. What exactly should we be expecting the government to do to help pregnant women and their unborn children? Require paid maternity leave? Expand Medicare to protect pregnant women and the pre-born? Subsidize payments to pregnant women who can't afford their next child? What if the mother is already on welfare? I agree with the current system that allows for states to decide on the legality of abortion, but beyond that I'm not sure what we're supposed to expect.

If abortion were the singular issue, I might agree. The bigger issue the ability of the US to continue as a democracy. The authoritarian right is using abortion as an excuse to take us to autocratic and destructive form of government. If you have doubts about the destructive nature of an autocratic state just look at Hitler and now Putin.
