Compare the Catholic Ten Commandments to the actual Ten Devarim ( Ten Words). The Vatican altered them, and eliminated several commandments ( Mitzvot) in its’ version of Catholic doctrine.

I would love to believe that the Catholic church was the one true church; I simply don't. Its fruit has been too bitter. I can't swallow fundamentalist Bible Christianity either. Poor me. Think I will just pray and not worry about having a tribe.

I sort of agree with you. There are good thing's about the Catholic church, I sometimes find it comforting, but its too judgemental. It`s ok to go alone with faith, I do 🙂. I was brought up Catholic ( sort of). People that have had NDE`s speak of a Heaven that is not defined by religion as such.

@@damian-795I was brought up secular ‘Jewish’ and just like Catholics, we trust our rabbis as the source of our Bible knowledge and understanding. Both priests and rabbis make a lot of stuff up that is not in the Bible and outright lie. Both priests and rabbis follow their own man made laws and rules that are self serving. Rabbis and Catholic Priests both don’t want Jews nor Catholics to truly understand the Tanahk ( ‘old’ testament) and the Gospel and Apostles. They are all integrally related and necessary for each other. The Gospel is a clear reiteration of the Tanahk and the new covenant is the same as the old covenant with the same grace from Yahweh but with his son as our advocate because we can never fulfill all of Yahweh’s laws and commandments the way he fulfilled and continues to fulfill them. We were given Yahshua so that we would not give up Yahweh’s laws and commandments.

Yes, poor you. The Catholic Church is Christ's true Church. Pray for the priests and bishops and cardinals and popes who think are not serving you well. Men fail. The Church run by Jesus will not faii. Jesus asks for you to Trust in Him through Divine Mercy. He wants you to be his steps, arms, heart in the world. Please take up this cross, quit feeling sorry for yourself, be the salt of the Earth yourselves. You are just playing right into the devil'# plan. Not on my watch!

@@bajone02 Luke 9: 23 23 And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his stake ( stauros in Greek) daily, and follow me. Yahshua is telling those who follow him ( follow his instructions and commandments including following his father’s commandments and laws) to take up their stake ( the responsibilities that will lead to their being persecuted as he was persecuted). This is a message to every INDIVIDUAL and not a commandment to follow earthly individuals who alter scripture, delete from it , and add to it. How to follow Yahshua is spelled out in the Tanahk which he bases his instructions and his own fulfillment of Yahweh’s delight ( Hafetz, falsely translated as will - Yahweh can accomplish whatever he wills). Yahshua is the Ecclesia and we were meant to learn and study scripture and his instructions as diverse congregations striving to follow his father with his guidance under his father’s grace.
