Two men centered on the presence of their God trying to fathom the unfathomable . Good souls staying close listening for He who formed the ear and who sets the eye . Sharing .

Yes thank you. You two reminded me of the time when as a child my family took a little trip to the Mojave desert. We were way out and deep into the desert. It was so quiet my ears were ringing. It was like a deafening silence ringing and pressure. Like the light how it can blind you even more than the darkness.

What a wonderful role model for a civilized and meaningful discussion! (so unlike many others we watch on TV). Here, there is patient turn taking, responsiveness, gentle agreeing or disagreeing, tact, respect and admiration for each other. What a delight to watch!

Fr. Thomas Keating, O.C.S.O. is a Trappist monk and priest, known as one of the architects of Centering Prayer, a contemporary method of contemplative prayer, that emerged from St. Joseph's Abbey, Spencer, Massachusetts, in 1975.

True. While almost everybody freaks out about lil' Donny we should continue our inner work and if we have the need to look for outer guidance Father Keating is certainly on eman one can look up to.

God's love is satisfied within the Holy Trinity. He creates us in love and for love, to share into the Divine Life of the Holy Trinity.

Yes Mortimer sadly that is the way it has always been and will continue to be, as The Master said " The world hated me first and if you are in me the world will hate you as well. The goal for me is to continue to allow God to love the world through me.

Rabbi Manis Friedman talks somewhere about God's vulnerability (in 'What only Judaism will tell you')... like Rabbi Schachter says, God thirsting for that Godly Kiss....

But the Catholic faith also teaches that: "for God so loved the world that"... There is great depth in the New Testament, and different levels of meaning... "God is love"...

We Catholics require more visibility regarding our Church's openness towards other religions & beliefs, particularly the Jewish Religion to which our Lord belonged. We thank Rabbi (Lord, in Arabic) for his profound words which were very enlightening. Please do do so with other beliefs. Our Lady at Fatima required world ecumenism & rapprochement.

Christianity know who god is he revealed himself in human form through his son Jesus Christ both man and divine , that's the problem when you speak to a Jew or Muslim if a Christian says Jesus was God then you lose them as they deny that Jesus was divine the Jews crucified as foretold in the bible the Muslims persecute Christians in the present day because they see Christianity as affront to Islam because we have Christ as our lord God and saviour ...

Yes, Jesus spoke of the necessity for Christians never to deny Him, even if it is subtely by just not mentioning Him after you knowingly let someone of another Religion suck you into a bad psychological encounter.

THE BIGGEST PERPETRATORS OF MASS MURDER FOR TWO MILLENIA HAVE BEEN THE FOLLOWERS OF CHRIST. SO MUCH FOR 'KNOWING' THE DIVINE IN MAN. EVERY HUMAN HAS THE POTENTIAL TO BE ONE WITH THE FATHER AND, THEREFORE, DIVINE. THE BELIEF IN A MAN AS A LORD AND SAVIOUR IS IDOLATRY. PERIOD. ISAIAH, SO FREQUENTLY USED BY THE GOSPELS AS A PROOFTEXT FOR JESUS AS THE MESSIAH ( FOR WHICH, OF COURSE, THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NO BASIS IN THE ORIGINAL HEBREW TEXT), SAYS: "I AM THE LORD, AND THERE IS NO OTHER. BESIDES ME, THERE IS NO GOD."
