When I saw the Name John Heers in an interview he did with Jonathan Pageau, I thought , is he related to Fr. Peter Heers? Turns out to be true. Awesome… and a great interview as well.

its a great point about conspiracy: that it is quite natural to old worlders who see all societal events and history as interconnected rather than compartmentalized.
@heavythingslightly2 жыл бұрын
Indeed! In fact to conspire is to live… it’s just a question of what you are conspiring for. Right? Of course people are conspiring, the dark arts of a conspiracy is really just perspective on right and wrong. “You” work to save the world, “we” conspire to destroy it…. It’s just about majority narratives and minority narratives I think…

This is probably the best discussion I've heard yet in my three years as a Catechumen about our post-modern collective predicament regarding God and our estrangement from him. One thing the Father has made abundantly clear to me is that I cannot be with him and put myself in an unequal position up against anyone who is not 'orthodox'. Everyone is pretty much the same at base creation. Beyond worldly deceit. I know for myself, having been terrorized into attempting to submit to the post-modern world utopia as a captive, I was always purely looking for a reunion with God. But post-modernity terrorizes its captives toward the dead end path of the anti-God. All however, (with of course rare exceptions), are searching ultimately for God all the same. But now I know it is a kind of secret that they hide to protect themselves. Jesus made the way with him to be simple. But none of our modern accessible Shepards are much in situ at this point from what I can tell. Also unknowingly hiding in secret with and for compliance to the popular worldly modernity. Or hiding from it. The same thing. Super subtle. And thinking they at least are 'orthodox'. Which has nothing to do with love of the Father. Who is now with the Father? It is what Jesus came to accomplish. All Glory to from and with God.

“A secret to hide oneself”… damn. So true, but also, a part of the journey until no longer a part of the journey. There is a time for everyone that says something like “no more… enough. It’s time!” We all face it. The cross. Pray that we all find a way to bear our own cross as we should….
@Orthodoxi2 жыл бұрын
Yes indeed. The cross is the way. It is what Jesus taught. To the Father who then reveals our true identity as he created us, which we have forgotten. Jesus taught us how to go; repent, forgive, and love. The Holy Spirit. So this can be accomplished with us. This is the prayer. It is so simple. The true secret. So we are with the Father.

So sad for Europe and Canada. It’s one thing to know the US is probably the least traditional society of all but the fact that we wouldn’t take these heavy lockdowns (except in NY and the west coast states) makes me happy to be here

Eventually, at a certain stage of Orthodox life, by partaking the dignity of priesthood, king, and prophet within the synergia via the Holy Baptism, Orthodox life is actually an ultimate Theantropic consequence of God's plan and will when He created the human beings within His very image and likeness ☦️ He can NOT undo it. In the end His Grace will return the repented Orthodox and their purified passions and emotions into their one final home the God the Father's presence with a full realization of His love for you and I, that He is God whose existence gives you things that is beyond the feeling of satisfaction. A God who has everything true and good and has the eternal holy flawless life for those who love Him. He is the God who deserves the fear of God and Love for God from all who bears His image and likeness ☦️ He is the God who is always consistent and being always consequent with His own words, plans and will. Help us all O Holy Spirit ☦️

Please please pretty please stop mischaracterizing protestants... you're not wrong to criticize the impulse to spontaneous worship, however that is not representitive of all protestants. In fact many of us agree with you.
@heavythingslightly3 жыл бұрын
Many do, but the disposition of the protest movement has always been toward a diminution of tradition, or maybe worse, toward the creation of something “new” and more “appropriate”… so yes, liturgy exists within the reform tradition, but with a terrible seed of dissolution built in. Just a thought or two…
