Going through the book now after doing the 30 day "prework" of prayer. It is outstanding and just the 30 day prep period of prayer alone has changed me immensely. Breaking it down by sections also helps work through past areas of habitual sins. Can't recommend enough. Great review!

You’re very welcome. I’m sorry to hear you’re struggling. I can understand and have been there too. Even just following a few things from the phase one protocol like no news, and some of the prayers from that phase 1 made a huge difference for me. But, also try to balance it out with finding some things to do to recharge (some recreation). At first I didn’t even know what I enjoyed anymore but thinking back to some things that I enjoyed and did for fun as a child really helped spark some ideas for me (drawing, writing stories, walks outside). Simple but they made a big impact. 🙏🏻

I have my copy ... still in it's plastic ... planning a road trip so probably will dive in when I get back in 2 weeks ....SO excited .... I'd be VERY interested in the psychological, neuroscience tips from a devout RC perspective ... I have some Kelly McGonigal PhD products but she is grounded in buddhist philosophy. I kept mine in plastic for at least a few days too 😊 it’s had been hard to find good trustworthy psychology info until I discovered Fr. Ripperger’s book Introduction to the Science of Mental Health. I love the subject and there is so much amazing info out there like for the subject in personality psychology, where St. Thomas Aquinas talked about it regarding the four temperaments. So many other subjects as well, like habit/virtue building. It so interesting! Can’t wait to make more videos. Please pray I can get more efficient with my video editing. ☺️🙏🏻

Fr Ripperger has a PhD. in psychology in the Thomistic school which is solidly Catholic. He is one of the most brilliant scholars I have ever heard speak, yet he has a great deal of humility and humor.

Thank you for your review. I just bought the book AND the ebook. ❤ I prefer reading an ebook (Kindle would be better; audio/Audible would be even better ... "read while doing chores"). I also bought the physical book, because in the coming trials (Illumination of Conscience - " The Warning" by Christine Watkins), electronics & electricity could be nonfunctional.

I've been using Father Chad Ripperger for over 2 months now and it's seriously helped me stop some bad habits. Do you have any suggestions on how I can learn to pronounciate the words from the Latin prayers? I've learned to pronounce some of the words from listening to Gregorian chant music.

I can relate, I have learned so much from Fr. Ripperger. 😊 I’m glad to hear he has been helping you too! I’ve found that Latin pronunciation is very similar to Spanish. If you know Spanish, that is very helpful. Otherwise, maybe you could try Rosetta Stone. My children are learning Latin using that. ☺️ That’s also a great idea to learn from Gregorian chant! Since they don’t say the words as quickly, it’s easier to hear the pronunciation.

I think it could. Even just following some of the Phase 1 protocol helped me a lot. Specifically, cutting out all news and most of social media, daily rosary, etc. I think most important is having a rule of life /prayer regimen (watch Fr Ripperger’s rule of life talk and other Sensus Fidelium talks in prayer routines), and there is a video where I mentioned 3 books that I recommend for being more joyful in all circumstances. Those books also helped me very much.

When doing the 30 day prayer regimen, can we read the Bible, or is this off limits too?

I think only the mass readings are allowed as part of the regimen. I’m not 100 percent sure though, so I would suggest perhaps emailing the author Dr. Dan Schneider or seeing if they have any contact info on the Liber Christo website.
