If you study book of Hebrew from ch. 8-11 you will come to know that Jesus was the last high priest and become the ransom for our transgressions. Thereafter no priest is required because Jesus fulfilled the purpose of priest- means he became the sacrifice. According to OT priest is appointed to do the sacrifice on behalf of people but Jesus become that sacrifice once for ever. If so then what are these priests meant for. This video is at once sad, heartbreaking and one that promotes fury and anger at the narration of sexual abuse of a woman whose husband’s trust was repeatedly abused by Fr Varghese Markose Ayrattu. The husband is shown exhibiting remarkable restraint in the face of repeated questioning of this sexual rapist of a priest, and has refrained from getting violent despite several occasions where the priest is heard testing the patience of the husband. The man (husband )seems to be suffering internally and has accepted things stoically with a fatalistic attitude. The laity must help the wronged husband to file criminal cases in a court and see to it that this priest is behind bars. In this video the priest is seen begging forgiveness and asking the man to refrain from giving undue publicity to this episode that might destroy his family and his children’s careers. This is Pharisical hypocrisy at its height. The husband seems to be restrained or hen pecked in not summoning the courage to “deal with” the priest. Had someone else been in thar man’s place, he would have sliced the priest into pieces and made known his anger to the world at large. The video also reveals that the woman who enticed the priest has been successful in turning their children against the husband. This is cruel and warrants immediate action from the husband who must, use the spiritually and ethically available option of divorcing his wife who has committed the crime of getting into an adulterous relationship with a priest. We need to initiate a system of filing cases in courts and seeing to it that families of priests and and priests themselves are destroyed permanently, never again to raise their heads in public.
