France despite not playing that good like in VNL still showing the mental strength and won the match. Ngapeth again was the best in the most crucial moments. He plays like he has no nervous system. Slovenia also now is playing much better with new coach.

France in the first round of the VNL 2022 did not play so well, neither did they in those of the Tokyo Olympic Games. It's always from the 1/4 finals where it becomes very important for the Bleus to rev up their engine speed to be perfect until the final and win it.

This French team reminds me of the golden era of Brazil 2000's/10's with Giba, Dante, Murilo, Sergio, etc. They've played with each other so long the mental strength is off the charts in the crucial moments.

Slovenia always challenges France. That being said Clevenot really got work on his out-of-system play. He is the only player on team France that frustrates me because I know how good he is. When presented with a triple block he tries to cut the ball to the left, running the ball straight into the block. Every other hitter would attack the angle and challenge the 3rd blocker or hit of the top of the middle/3rd if they are late to form the block. I was screaming for Giani to sub in Tillie and he did it immediately lol. Tillie is starter quality and does not fall much if any, behind Clevenot. Even Patry isn't looking like his dominant self as yet. Everything Ngapeth touched in the 5th set was gold. The French boys once again showing the championship mentality they possess. Looking forward to even better more decisive play from Les Bleus.

These two NTs are the smartest ones in a world men volleyball. It was pleasure to see so many tricks, feints, perfect court defence, surprising attacks. In Slovenia there is a crowd in various, versatile clothing. It shows a patriotism, a personal indepedence. (The crowd in one uniforms seems to be connected with nationalism.)

well...most of crowd were dressed in blue, white and green which are most common colors for slovenia in sports, some of them were wearing red because they put on shirts that were on the chair (everyone got a free red shirt with 3 slovenian players on them)

that was a very tough match. slovenia had the chance to end it in 4th set, but france wasnt giving up. in the end, france won in tie-break, 15-7. I am looking forward on watching more matches between them in the future, theyre both great teams.

Exactly, people dont understand why Ngapeth gets upset with his teammates sometimes. He know how great they are and constantly expects great plays from them. That is also why he is hard on himself as well. People on youtube gets more upset when he acts angry than his actual teammate who understands him.

Very good match of two very good teams in front of the fanatic Slovenian crowd. The French team is very dangerous, because the players are technically very well skilled and they have rare ability to play without pressure, like if they had no nerves. Slovenians are always very motivated when they play for their national team.

What a match! !! In Men's Vball world, serving safe or too soft is like giving their opponent a candy, as they can easily make an excellent play out of it. France is always gambling with High risk high reward serve, they will make an Aces (for sure) but in this game, the risk is too much, they have 32 errors out of the service line. Hope they will lessen it in their next games. At the end, they had shown how strong they are mentally, they are resilient. The challenge at the 4th set was brilliant wherein Slovenia thought they had a match in their bag. when it comes to set5, I know French boys will dominate it as they've done before VNL finals, Tokyo Finals. On the other hand, Kudos to Slovenia, they are very good compared to their VNL perf. they have a shot at making the QFs. the crowd is Crazy! hope they also attended other games not only when Slovenia is playing.
