That is pretty original, creating a "fractal" by using reflectional properties, interesting

I'm currently rendering an animation based on this. I made a couple of changes from your idea. First I kept it all one color by making the material colored and secondly I animated the camera starting at a focal length of 1mm and zooming in to 500mm over 1 minute. I also rotated the camera on the z axis 720 degrees over 1 minute. I did a couple of frame renders and I can get away with having cycles at 4 samples and denoised so each frame is taking about 15 seconds to render on my PC. Fingers crossed it comes out as I expect at the end. Thanks for the tutorial!!

This is awesome man. I wanted to know how to set up a workspace AND learn how to use blender. My only suggestion would be to use titles for your steps since I had to slow the video down to follow along since I'm completely unfamiliar with blender. This is my attempt to learn. Thanks for the tut.

Thanks for posting and sharing this fun technique! I made a very complex kaleidascope scene that uses refraction similar to this and I've always been interested in the created possibilities of reflection and refraction. I also love that it takes minimal work to make a very complex visual. Can't wait to animate this for some Dr. Strange awesomeness.

Hi you must have missed something on this tut because when you get to 4mins and reflections are appearing, that doesnt happen. Yes, followed the tutorial completely.
