That looks really cool! I would love to try it, but I think I’ll leave to you as a professional . Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed it.

Thank you so much! It's been quite a while since I've actually done a fractal burn on anything. I've got some projects sitting around I'm considering doing it to but I'm not sure which ones I actually want to put it to yet. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave me a comment!!!

Dude this is stunning just found your channel sub done gonna binge through your other videos. I'd love to do this but am in no way capable of building this myself. Untill I can find a qualified electrician I trust to build it so it's idiot proof for me then unfortunately ill just have to enjoy people doing it. 👍🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Thanks Michael! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I do have a lot of fun with it though it's been a while since I've actually performed one. In all honesty I kind of doubt you'll find somebody to build one for you and as far as being idiot proof that requires serious safety protocols that must be strictly adhered to. But I do have a few fractal burnings planned for the future!!! Thank you for watching and stay safe!!!

Hello, I congratulate you for the work, it really turned out great. I ask you what voltage did you use? Thank you

Thank you! I appreciate your interest The microwave transformer puts out 2000 V, 500 mA the oil heater transformer puts out 10,000 V, 23mA.

Thank you, I wouldn't recommend doing it again though unless you have better ventilation than I did.

Hello, sorry to bother you again with questions, the fractal in the video, with which of the two voltages did you do it (2200 V or 10000V)? Thank you very much and a big greeting from Argentina.

No worries Jorgel! I used a microwave transformer for this one which puts out around 2,000 v/ 500 mA. Have you seen anybody out there doing this or any similar art work around you In Argentina anywhere?

@@turninandburnin8798 Hello, as I want to decorate a large table (2.2 m x 1 m) I have been watching more than fifty videos on KZbin about this practice, almost all of them show the technique, but there are few that we can call "art". In my country there are about three or four people who uploaded videos about it, but nothing remarkable, more about how to prepare the transformer or safety practices. What I am trying to do, with uncertain results, is that the "burn" spreads from a single electrode to the other, that is, in only one direction. I don't know if I'm clear. Have you tried this? Can you tell me something about it? Thanks and regards

Thanks, It really was a great burn .I use One cup of water to a tablespoon of baking soda I've tried Gatorade it works pretty good I've tried salt water it works all right I'm going to try diatomaceous earth next. If you're going to do it make sure you have excellent ventilation or do it outside because it (MDF) puts off some nasty stuff.

I usually sand the wood to about 220 grit then put a coat of baking soda and water let it soak in for a minute or two then put the voltage to it.

I work for a mortuary in the mid west and have picked up several men doing this that thought they were being safe. They weren’t as smart and cool as they thought they were. Now they’re just cold and dead.

Well, I was an Aviation Ordnance Man, I used to build bombs, rockets and missiles on board the USS JFK CV-67 for the United States Navy, so I've been through a lot of safety training, so I adhere to specific safety protocols when practicing my craft, also I no longer use a microwave transformer, which will most likely kill you if you get "licked" by it. I use a neon light transformer, half the amperage and about 5x the voltage. But thank you for the interest and concern. I actually have a project I'm working on that I was thinking about putting the voltage to.

@@turninandburnin8798 Half the amperage and 5x the voltage is 2.5 times the max power through your body. It's no less dangerous. In fact higher voltage makes it more dangerous as it much easier can jump through cracked insulation or a wet table. I would deem it more dangerous and you can have the best of safety training about bombs, but this is not about explosives. Why do you use wires with insulation that is not adequate for the voltage, for example? You should always keep a safe distance while it's on and use some safety push buttons.
@ThinkingBetter

An electric chair is using similar voltage to instantly kill. A wet table with wires that are most certainly not for 2000-3000 Volts is not a wise setup. Most people with this hobby aren't understanding the dangers that this high voltage poses and how easily it can jump through gloves, a wet table or a cracked wire.
