Absolutely. Having run AIOs and even multi rad custom loops I always end up going back to air. its easy , can be nice and quiet once curves are set up and is reliable AF.

i dont HATE air cooling .. but i love overclocking my stuff for being able to squeeze the most out of my cpu until the bitter end.. which for me is next year when i save up for AM5. i have an i5-8600k BEAST of a CPU.. once i added a 360 aio from EKWB i was able to OC it to 5.2 ghz and its been able to steadily let me play in full 1440p.. then this march i got a evga 3080ti my last gpu was 1080ti.. my next build will be fully water looped.. why ? i want to finally try it out.. yes i know its expensive af but i like the asthetic.. before my ekwb.. i had a darkrock 4 pro.. beast of an air cooler and let me fully boost my PC.. TLDR.. i wanted something different next build.

Damn, this is what I waited for, a mITX version of Meshify 2, great case. But I prefer Torrent Nano, it's a little more premium and I would use a Noctua tower cooler instead of a water cooler. I don't really about the temperatures of Intel i9 12900K. That CPU is a furnace, it uses a lot more power than it should (Intel OCed the hell out of it just to perform better than AMD). I would take the AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D any day, every day, it has almost the same performance with a lot lower power consumption, it's a no brainer. Also, I don't care that much about not fitting a T-Rex of an GPU, they are getting too big and too power hungry anyway, I don't plan on buying top of the line GPUs. I also like Cooler Master NR200, but that's in the SSF market, without the front to back airflow.

This is good but in case anyone from Fractal is reading, I want them to also revisit the Era since I really like that layout better in theory, in practice however they really didn't do a good enough job for temps to be usable: slightly raised feet and a 'Meshify' version of the Era would make it extremely attractive as that case also doesn't needs much more to actually be usable.

AIO pump/block tops are also about the same height as a cpu block with 90 degree rotary fittings so this would also be an out for some open loop water cooling with top mounted rads. It is a good looking case and I do think it is better to use a air cooler here. And I feel the current ITX cases are not working well with top-end CPUs anymore (5950x 12900k). As I mentioned in another comment, Fractal already has a similar layout product with the Era ITX, it's just that temps are so bad is mostly unusable without custom and honestly pretty bad looking feet that give it more bottom intake clearance. They really need a meshify version of the Era.

It’s not garbage. This case is awesome. A) 12900k is too hot nobody should use it in here since you would need 360 AIO to run it properly. B) air cooler clearance is epic and what the build is for. The downfall is the GPU clearance I’d agree but unless you’re going top of the line the 40 series is perfect options for this case since small sizes and lower TDP. The cherry on top is being able to use ATX psu. NR200 you gotta use SFX or you’re on crack.
