I like the travel vlog. just you two having fun, crossing off bucket list items etc, trying to maximise a work trip for pleasure is incredibly interesting. you should bring a skateboard everywhere and start reviewing skateparks or scenic skate-able surfaces. Or maybe HK disneyland next time.

Damn that enormous red graphics card was almost as atrocious as I thought it would be in this build, but at last it happens to be OK. Build would have been much cleaner with a Asus Pro Art for example

Maybe a stupid question. But does this mobo support 3 screens/monitors (hdmi+dp+dp) in combination with a ryzen 9950x. Or can you connect only 2 screens at same time..

If an Aussie channel like Gear Seekers has this motherboard then that means retailers like PC Case Gear and Scorptec have the X870 motherboards ready for release on the 30th?

This board looks dope. Would love it to be $250 USD off the rip instead of them discounting it there in 6 months aha. The front m.2 slot is actually amazing. It runs so much colder because it gets the first hit from your case fans. Just wonder if you can somehow turn off the debug lights somehow in the bios.

the USB4 takes Gen5x4 slot from the CPU directly but controlled with asmedia 4242 this is the difference between x670e - x870e x670e with 16+8 gen5 to the motherboard x870e 16+8 gen5 and x4 of them are reserved for USB4 so technically it is 16+4 gen5 lanes for the rest of the motherboard i hope you can clear that up because gen5 lanes are kind of messed up on this x870e platform which i consider a downgrade TBH

I think Asrock nailed it. Probaby I will go with the Nova, but I really like that unlike other manufacturers, they didn't share any GPU lanes with extra PCIE 5.0 Nvmes.

Awesome! I'm glad you can avoid buying the RGB and keep the cost down (somewhat... OK very slightly I bet...) I've always liked Asrock for motherboards, I've usually ended up getting them because they're cheaper and work just as well as the competitors.

Nice pc case, I wish to see completely water cooled one. GPU's ridicioulously fat.Bottom fan's too much close to it. 11 fans just to cool gpu,cpu and power supply in a small case. Very efficient :-) Hope they could make better form factors. 5.25 gone, 3.5mm and 2.5mm is on the same way

this works with AM5 too. I didn't realize that the RGB needs to be using the 4 pin 12v header. Had it connected to a 3 pin 5v port and wondered why it didn't work.

Not feature set & I'm happy to see Azrock moved the post code & power/reset buttons to the top left corner, sad to see the cool metal gears disappear from the design & just be turned into a surface paint. I have the X670E, I just hope Azrock isn't over charging for the new cycle, mobos should be $300 tops, it seems like every manufacturer charges an arm & leg when a .79 cent post code reader is implemented.

This was the board I was wanting to hear about the most. Was planning on doing a full system build whenever the new X3D arrived, but originally that was supposed to be January, but it might be the end of next month now. Performance wise, the Lite doesn't perform any less than the higher end Taichi, it just has less "bling". edit: Sucks that it doesn't have the quick release for the GPU, and with how tight everything is surrounding the PCI-e GPU slot, it will be even more of a nightmare to remove a large GPU than it is on older boards that are not so crammed. Not really worth the additional $250 or whatever the normal Taichi will be though just for that.

It's almost like ATX sells better in the premium segment, and it makes a better choice for the launch of a new chipset. SFFers just have to wait for a while, or maybe until B850.

Is it possible to use both pcie slots in dual x8? If yes, this board will be the one to beat. The B650E Taichi Lite is just the best in class in price to features, this will probably be as well.

They separate the releases because Amd marketing department will never miss the opportunity to fail, if they released all together it would be 1 fail however separating like this they can get 2 fails within two months.

Yup, every marketing team within AMD wants their own failure. It's almost like they compete for how much they can cost the company.

Can you please share the dimensions of this board? I'm interested in finding out if I can fit it in the NZXT Flow 5. ATX is fully supported by this case, but EATX is only up to certain board dimensions. Thanks for a great review! Edit: I have found my answer, as ASRock has released their board details. This can fit in the new NZXT Flow 5 (2024), since it's 26.7mm in length. (Case supports up to 27.7mm EATX boards). I am not sure whether it can fit in Flow 5 released in 2022 and 2023. I'll do some measuring before I place my order when the boards are released.

I really appreciate the inclusion of those temperature sensor headers (especially because there are 3 of them). Until now, the only boards that I could find that came with them were Gigabyte and Asus, so it will be nice to have another option. I know you can get the Aquacomputer quadro or octo for temperature sensor headers for watercooling, but I've never been a huge fan of extra software and prefer to run my fan/pump profiles from the bios.
