I’ve preordered my Torrent Nano ITX Dark Tint RGB version here in Australia 🇦🇺 and was waiting for this since the OG Torrent came out 🥰🏆🥳. Soooo looking forward to this case. As a Mini ITX multi pc builder and owner, the Torrent Nano is the next NR200 in terms of features, layout, spec fitment etc and also like the NR200, the Torrent Nano comes in at a good price. Not as good as the NR200, but still good for an ITX case 🤩🥰🏆🥳👍

I have the compact with an air cooled setup. Amazing. The cable managment isn’t as bad as reported. It takes a bit more time to organize but it’s really not that bad. Finished product is stunning. It’s (in my opinion) the best looking case out there. Worth the extra cabbage.

I myself have just ordered a Torrent Nano and a NH Dh-15 Black. What were the rotation issues you are referring to in the video @eTeknix ? To me it seems like the orientation is the same as in the compact

No. There is to much stuff a motherboard needs and the area of a mini itx is just to small! But the step up (not a full size ATX) gives enough space to make motherboards that are really grate and have the space needed to not sacrifice reliability and such. The extra space is enough to make place for a M.2 drive and place audio and debug lights ect on the motherboard. I'm running away from ITX since I do not think they are anything but a compromised extra mark up motherboard with problems that is not really worth dealing with.

@@TheDiner50 I understand your point. I have a micro-ATX motherboard and I think it kind of fits exactly what I need. Like 10 USB ports, front+back. But I still would go with mini-ITX simply because it fits way better on my desk, much cleaner and with temps, I am alright, since I don't use any PC components that go over 72C degrees. Plus, I always use 1 GPU, so all other PCIE x16 ports are useless for gaming.

It definitely will be the future when GPU manufacturers solve thermals and size properly. For rendering and editing you still need bigger case if you do not want to sit near the jet-engine-like noise.

I do think @Fractal should make one for ATX. For example between the Torrent and the Torrent Compact so like the compact it can house comfortably a ATX board with a full fat GPU and a custom loop and thats basically it.

I think the Compact accomplishes all of that already. It's a good middle ground between the massive OG Torrent and the SFF Torrent Nano

The nano has the fan over the GPU. Will it have worst GPU airflow than the middle version? 🤔 The latter has the fan right in front of the GPU

with a 180 fan in front, and NH-D15, it looks like an airduct in mind, bringing a torrent of air from the front to the back. I'm a fan of that airflow. a question sir, can you put a MSI Suprim X GPU in the nano ? that brick has 336mm length, 1 mm more from 335mm maximum GPU length of Nano

Please, please do a custom loop in the Compact. I would love to see 2x360 rads in that thing lol. Does a 360mm AIO work with the 2x180 fans? I would assume so, but would like to know forsure. Would be cool to use a 360mm AIO w the 2 giant fans haha

If it's 180x360mm it'll fit. If it's 140mm or 120mm wide you'll have to use those fans and the bracket. Honestly speaking, if there wasn't any compatibility issues, I would've went with a 420mm aio for my torrent instead of a 360mm one. The 360mm looks tiny when viewing the case from the front lol.

I've been looking for a unique case that will fit with my setup, and after all this time I think I've finally found it! My only concern is how I will manage with an aio and a full size gpu within the Torrent Compact... that is if I can find one lol, I'll be rocking this case with my old faithful GTX 1060 XD

U should try to custom loop the nano! The Compact has enough room for a thick 140x280 radiator on the floor, and a 180x180 on the front( considering the gpu clearance is 330). While the Nano, only can fit one 180x180 on the front or, 120x120 on the front. I’m wondering if a 240 radiator to be squeezed on the floor of the nano, and mount fans from the out side. Reservoir and water block wise are fairly simple(if using the pump reservoir combo, such as granzon GE-A180). Hope you can figure out some “cooler” configurations ;)

i think about custom looping the torrent compact with a threadripper. i wanna utilize all the radiator space at the front by using a 180mmx360mm radiator as air outtake. at the bottom i might have enough room for 2x120mm fans as intake. ...only problem: you can see in gamers nexus video about the torrent as well, there are no fanspacers to mount the pump reservoir in 180mm...anyone has an idea?

I prefer high-end air cooling. An AIO closed loop will evaporate in 5 years. With high-end air, I can just set it and forget it for a decade. I'm still on an i5-2500K from over a decade ago, with the same same Noctua cooler and fans. Can't do that with an AIO.

There are none. Mini itx boards have 2 slots max. So you’ll have to go with larger capacity sticks instead.

Nano is way too big for an itx case, so much wasted space that could have easily been reworked for matx. The Compact however..chef's kiss.

Nah, most "poppy" ITX cases are actually trash, like the DanCase thimble boxes and the like. Nothing but throttling with any decent component. Now the 5800X3D is out as well and you're slashing off too much performance with those matchboxes.

Disagree. If you are planning a build with high end components like a RTX 3080/R9 and want to make sure they won’t thermal throttle, this is probably the most compact you can get

"pro" tip. I found out the hard way a 3080 and a NZXT Kraken AIO rad mounted on the front is too big, the rad is too thick for the length of the gfx card. If you're going to do the Nano, make life easy for yourself and go noctua air cooled.

yes they did disapoint with the nano. the torrents biggest issue is that stupid TG panel on the rear. and now putting it on the nano makes it a useless case. they really need a new product and market manager.

Actually not that good of a case.. Airflow sucks.. Heat from gpu blows to the window and gets stuck there. no place to add a fan near it.. instead of glass and rgb it should have filter and venting holes next to the gpu
