this is exactly how i imagine the reality shattering effect in interdimension, if you use too strong of a weapon reality just shatters and you can walk out into a dark cave place

In case anyone runs into the same issue of the fractured pieces appearing solid grey instead of transparent: 1. Enable Opaque Texture in URP Asset. 2. Make sure your fractured pieces shader is set to "Unlit" and "Transparent" in graph settings.

Hi Thank you for the great tutorial! :) I recreated this. It looks like it works well, but only a screen distortion does not work. I've tried everything I can think of, including shader drawing order and transparency. However, when I try the exact same node, it doesn't work. I don't think it's that difficult, since all you have to do is shift the position where you get the screen color according to the distortion. Is there anything you think could be the cause from your point of view? (I know this is a difficult question since I can't show you my node)

You are welcome, I guess you will have to debug by just adding a float parameter to the screen space node before connecting it to the color scene node, and then changing this float in the inspector should move the image, if so then the problem is in the value you are trying to add

Hi, I tried to recreate your shader, but the effect I got is the texture of the space visible under some gray pieces... I followed the tutorials step by step, what did I do wrong ? ps : I think I managed to recreate the plan on blender too.

I think you have to enable opaque texture from URP settings as the color scene node will not work if that is not enabled

@@AETutsVids Ok I have enabled it but I still don't get the same result ... Now I see the texture of the galaxy in pieces as it only made the fragments transparent to me ... I think it's a fate model problem in blender ... Could I have the same model as you please ?

Nope you have to fix it to learn, did you make the space shader and make it transparent? Also did you adjust the sorting priority of its material?

If everything is correct try to move the shattered pieces to be in front of the space plane
