Reef Builders I just got into the salt water hobby and lost all my fish in a matter of a week. Some parasite got into the system plus I think the system wasn’t fully cicle. My fault completely I think. Your videos plus bulk reef supply are the main reason am the hobby and will continue. I can learn from The mistake and move forward

I have the XL Aquasaw my self but I've always wondered could the guys who have the standard size saw & want to use the XL blades for more clearance not just use a longer Nylon Adjuster Screw, or rig up some stable packing so the adjuster screw then lifts the motor wheel to the required height to tension the longer blade? I suppose one potential issue could be if the height is extended to much, will the 2 sliding supporting poles at the rear still be housed deep enough to properly support the motor wheel?

Now that's stunning, by the way, jake I want to learn how to collect corals from wild and aquaculture it, how can I do it?
@WhiteBlur1004 жыл бұрын
that's usually illegal unless you buy through those who have the licenses and privilege to do so. Or become said person with license or privilege. as someone who used to work in the aqualculture industry, its usually frowned upon for an individual to take an animal from the ocean.
@y.a.d17374 жыл бұрын
@@WhiteBlur100 the reason I want to learn is not to farm, but to rescue corals and propagate them and make a large coral table close to the reef and I could manage to get a license but I shud have a teacher to learn this properly

See I would think you'd pull the coral out of the water, and let the flesh retract quite a bit before wanting to frag so you can see the actual "ridge lines" a bit better. That said, having fragged my fair share of lords with a dremel, the band saw is really the way to go, you can get way more precise plus there's less contact area with the coral so you don't get as much friction from rubbing, which leads to heat, and all sorts of secondary damage.

Personally I’ve always been into the symbiotic relationships in the hobby clown/nem or goby/pistol for example. Earlier this year I found a pair of saddleback clowns and as a result have become interested in building a system to house a carpet anemone for them. There’s probably 100 videos out there of carpet nems eating but not much out there that isn’t seemingly dated ... so there’s something I happen to be interested in ..
