Fragging my Frogspawn coral with a dremel tool

How to frag the branching type of Euphyllia coral, in this case, my Frogspawn colony.

Thank you for showing how to frag a branching frogspwan, i was always terrified when mine was out of the water for more then 2 mins. I know corals are hardier then what people say but its nice to see for sure

Took my clowns one year before they decided the RBTAs were OK! In the past I think my Ocellaris clowns would go into the BTAs within 3 months, I don't remember ever having such a hard time. Good luck with your pair and hope they take up residence with the anemone quickly!

Think it's my anenome that needs to chill hahaha it won't find a spot it likes every time I look in the tank it's moves somewhere else ... haha it's really cool watching it though ... am I mad for thinking corals are cute haha they are adorable with there little mouths and all the floaty arms .... I also got some green trumpets and OMG they are so beautiful especially under the blues got a few more but I'll be typing forever so I'll shoot a video tomorrow when I update the Side Chick and reveal some news 🤗🤗

The tank looks amazing! I only currently have some freshwater planted tanks, How do you keep the salt from building up along the back walls of the aquarium? Or is that just going to happen?

good job on fraging the frogspawn without destroying it. I noticed that your clowns are now hosting the anemones. how long did it exactly take Cuz I have added an anemone to my tank and so far my clownfish haven't taken notice to it.

It took one year! I even tried to trap the pair of clowns with a small RBTA in a small container to get them to h ost... no luck. I do notice that the female clown started showing more interest when I got a large RBTA, she did not even care for the smaller ones I had before. Although once she started going into the large RBTA, she started diving into all the small ones. Btw, when I had the Ritterri anemone briefly, both clowns both right into the anemone within 2 mins. I would imagine them taking on a Carpet anemone the same way since those are Ocellaris' natural hosts.

Hey Jim, thank you! I run the Coral Lab template (it became available with a Radion firmware update awhile back), I think this template got a nice balance between giving corals some nice color vs. the light being overly blue. The corals also seems to respond pretty well to the spectrum in terms of growth. I need to double check what intensity I am running it at..

That frog spawn is huge lol and keep that blue tang it's hard to find one that has no problems that small ,usually they get ick and die

I ended up tossing the guy back into the display since he was so easy to catch. Sure enough, as I was moving the frogspawn today he dove right back into the branches... did not learn, lol.

Yeah they were stinging each other for awhile but neither seems too bothered by it so I just left them be. The Frogspawn is upstream so it's main body would not be touched, if it gets to a point where the tentacles are retracted, I would then move it. As for the RBTA, I figure if it really hated the spot, it would move... which it eventually did, so now they are both safely apart!

Thats cool. I love reptiles too. I have 3 Snakes myself. A Hypo (Morph) Red Tailed Colombian Boa, a Hypo (Morph) Motley Boa and a Snow (Morph) Corn snake. I usually attend to all Reptile Expo's where i can drive to. NY State, NYC, CT, MA and PA area's My ex fiance and I had 11 reptiles total. a bearded dragon, Leopard gecko, 2 crested geckos, a blue tongued skink, a rosey boa, a ball python, a het albino red tail boa and a hybrid black and yellow rat snake. + the 3 Boas mentioned earlier. When we split up she took the rest and i stood with 3. If you see my video of how i made the bearded dragon its vivarium cage. I built every single one of them their own cages but never posted the video's on my KZbin channel but on hers since my channel was about Reef and hers about the Reptiles. She has family in Baltimore, we used to go about twice a year. its about a 5 hour drive for me. I love driving around the states. but i only do it when i can afford it. you know how it is.

It's awesome how you are so into reptile as well. I almost got a Panther Chameleon last year but slammed on the brake last minute... after a little soul-searching, I just couldn't see myself enjoying feeding live cricket every day for years to come, lol. Let me check out your vivarium video, would be great if you could do some updates on your reptiles as well! (although definitely understand since your channel is mainly about reef)
