The characters are, at any rate. Of the original cast, however, only Karen Prell (Red & possibly backend of Sprocket again) and Dave Goelz (voice-over dubbed in during post-production, since another performer actively performs his roles on-set) are around to do their characters. The rest have either sadly passed away (Jerry Nelson, Richard Hunt, & Jim Henson), retired (Kathy Mullen), or were excommunicated from Muppet properties going forward (Steve Whitmire), so their roles have been filled in by newer performers (John Tartaglia as Gobo being the most prolific).

I remember watching reruns of Fraggle Rock when I was in the first grade back in 2008-2009. There is a specific time Steve talked about when he was told that Kermit was going to lie to Robin about the status of him and Miss Piggy's relationship, as Steve thought that Kermit lying to Robin wasn't in character. He thought that Kermit should've said something like "Things happen, people go their separate ways, but that doesn’t mean we don’t care about you." And he protested against many other decisions made by the producers on the set of the show

I was born LONG after the show went off the air (Winter of 1992.) However, my parents had a few VHS tapes of the show and they would play them for me to help me sleep. Even now in my 30’s I still think the jokes are hilarious. The Okra Surprise joke is still a staple in my family. I gotta say, despite their voices being different, I was very skeptical about ever EVER watching a remake of something so dear to my childhood and one of the only bright lights from back then, when we were able to afford cable. But I'm impressed by how spot on everything else looks, they didn't totally change everything. I guess I'll have to see it before I really decide, but, I'm 43, with a 3 year old. He will be the true judge. But I don't think u can ever truly remake a classic like this.. fragile rock ruled my childhood.

A few years ago, I remember they had Emmet Otter's Jug-Band Christmas and The Bells of Fraggle Rock in the theater. As soon as the Fraggle Rock episode started, the audience sang and clapped in the theater. Made me so happy! I attended a premiere party for the Jim Henson exhibit at the Museum of Pop Culture in Seattle, WA, a few years ago. Karen Prell (the puppeteer for Red Fraggle) was there with Dave Goelz (Gonzo) doing a Q&A. They answered some great questions for the audience and shared their memories of working with Jim Henson. I loved when Karen Prell talked about Fraggle Rock. She started to tear up. She spoke about Fraggle Rock's themes of friendship, diversity, and tolerance; how having a show like that is so essential for children to see, especially now.

Back when my grandpa was still alive, I believe it was around 2012, my dad always brought me to my grand dad so that he could bring me to school. When I got there however this show was always on. I remember being scared senseless by these little puppet characters. Explains the fact that I was also scared of the muppets. Now however it brings a smile to my face remembering the times he had to tear me from the chair I was hiding behind. Good times. 😀

I don't know how I feel about Mokey's new look. One of the reasons I loved the original Mokey is she was always kind of motherly and wise and it made her feel a like she was a little older than the rest of them. This new version of her is cute but it completely changes her character. She looks too young now, it kind of takes away from the wise motherly characteristics Mokey had 😕🤷‍♀️

haven't watched the Reboot (DIDN'T EVEN KNOW IT WAS A THING!!!) but i have seen this intro a few times now, and here are the improvements i like over the original, and just so you know im not saying things like "better CGI", and "HD Graphics", these things i like are just pure things that are added touches, what they changed, and other things, of course the CGI/green screen is going to be highly improved compared to 30+ years ago along with it now being HD 60 frames and such, thats easily whats expected 1: i like that they actually made Gobo be apart of the intro at the beginning, like him getting the Postcard from his Uncle Travelling Mat, rushing to the Fraggle Hole and him traversing the Cave (side note: i do like the newer cave systems look) 2: i like how the Fraggles are actually clapping, well ok to repharse i like how they are ALL Clapping and not just some of them from the orignal, XD i get tech and puppeting was still new at the time and also hard to master, but as much as i do love the Series, it did bother my slightly that when we hear th clapping, some of the Fraggles either just bobed there head, or crouch down (ok so some of that bobing still happens XD but its mainly in the background so a solid improvement still) 3: im liking the new Dozzer's (plus seeing familier Dozzer's) and there not only new buildings, but also there new looking contruction Raddished buildings, gone all hexagon now instead of simple straight Dozzer Sticks, nice upgrade honestly 4: i actually do like the new look forthe Gorgs, more cleaner looking even if the King and Queen look the same with a few improvements, Junior actually looks like he IS a Junior, i swear in the original he looks about as old as his dad XD oh and Mokey's newer looks is interesting 5: i like the newer version of the Final line of the song, before Boober in the original was like "this is my life, and its always the same" but in this version, hes still "This is My Life, and its always the same" but it now adds "but im ok with that" plus having his friends join him in the last scene is perfect 6: speaking of the song... 😍😍😍😍*IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII LLLLLLLLLLLOOOOOOOOOOOOVVVVVVVVVVVVVEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIITTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!!!~~~~~~~~* it sounds the same, Feels the Same, I swear i can tastes that its the same, BUT WHEN A SONG IS 30+ YEARS OLD, SOMEHOW, SOMEWAY, IT WILL BECOME GRANDER, i love the slight new tunes it adds like a more up beat Bass when Gobo goes back to Fraggle Rock in the beginning, even how it gives the Dozzers there own little musical with almost a Construction feel to it, i admit i do miss the scene of Junior getting Gobo and that, but honestly, i do like this one of just a Quick Scene of Junior losing a radish, but this song is amazing and an amazing Tribute to the Orignial 🎶Dance Your Cares Away! *CLAP CLAP* 🎶 🎶Worries for Another day, Let the Music Play *CLAP CLAP*🎶 🎶Down in Fraggle Rock, Down in Fraggle Rock!🎶 "Long Live Fraggle Rock!" *Salutes*
