That makes zero sense. This man saying it sucks isn't going to bring their entire business down, in fact more like the other way around, people deem Aventus the king of fragrances and this guy talking so deep and spiritual with all these external factors that don't contribute to the fragrance then deeming Aventus rubbish looses him credibility then all his deep talk sounds like BS. At least Jeremy Fragrance knows what is a crowd pleaser despite his own personal opinions.

As a person who’s just starting to take interest in fragrances, it’s so interesting to see passionate fragrance heads react distastefully to fragrances they’re bored of. I’ve often heard, everybody smells of this, everybody smells this 3 times a day, it’s boring... when reality is, the vast majority of people don’t wear fragrances. Dont know Creed Aventus or Bleu de Chanel etc... there’s actually a pretty small portion of the population that does indeed actually recognize fragrances let alone smell popular ones so frequently they actually can’t stand to smell it any longer. I do understand they have their own preferences and experiences... just interesting. 🤔

@rustyshackleford174 жыл бұрын
It's like anyone who has a passion for something that mainstream audiences have access to. Some people are fine drinking Jack Daniels...whiskey enthusiasts will find it boring. With people in love of fragrances, they're constantly after the next thing that makes them go "whoa." Even before I really got into fragrances, I found many scents that fragheads love to be extremely boring. Where ATH lays, he wants something that'll blow his mind. Creed is not that brand. Creed is more of the understated elegance.
@theartofflying35804 жыл бұрын
Rusty Shackleford totally agree and not arguing any of those points. I’m drawing a distinction that what’s being said here is “everybody smells that way, everybody’s sick of that smell” which is a massive exaggeration. Maybe I’m being too particular with words and what they mean is “everybody in the frag community”... but the blanket statement was way off if you’re actually talking in the real sense. Very few people are even actively interested in fragrances.

I really like that Aaron liked green Irish tweed, but I think it’s much less of a ‘blue’ fragrance, but more of an absolute Irish fragrance. I wish I could explain it better but it just reminds me of Ireland (I’ve never even been there!). It feels like people in the 90s, wearing woolen overcoats across a very watery garden. @Matthew Davies I think that's a fair point, Matthew. I don't want to come across as hating Aventus, either. It's a pleasant fragrance but I simply do not get the hype around this at all. I can't tell you how many times I've sprayed this on me waiting (wanting) to fall in love with it like 80 percent of the people I see commenting on KZbin, but it just never happens. My reaction is always "meh...that's nice." To be absolutely honest, I think I have that reaction to most Creed fragrances. The only one I own is Green Irish Tweed, and there are days I have the same reaction to that. 😄What I like about Aaron's reviews is that he also takes into account the price of a fragrance when giving his overall opinion. I think he's stated that there are many fragrances that he would have recommended if they had been priced lower, even though they might not be what he himself would like or wear. Cheers!

Taha Adnan Aaron is an artist, perfumery is an art as much as it is a science and that’s where most of us who are just fragrance enthusiasts fall short of understanding the true nature behind perfumery. It’s not about getting compliments, it’s not about what fragrance is beast mode or not or what is a banger, it’s about getting to the heart of the craft. To listen to someone who is so excited about keeping true to perfumeries true form is refreshing. He makes very valid points in that Creed is very, very money-driven in their approach to creating compositions. It’s about emotional and spiritual connections with a fragrance, something that blows your hair back. Whether you will want a recommendation from him is one thing but to say he’s too dramatic is short sighted. If you listen to any master perfumer, most of which I can guarantee have crafted some of the fragrances you all wear, they all speak similarly to the craft as Aaron does

Sorry second comment for the same video.. You tell that man that I ordered a sample of black orchid bc of his excitement for it and or blew my mind... It is the weirdest most beautiful thing I have ever smelled! My love from Greece!

If you happen to go on ebay and purchase Oud 24 hour for around £12, I’d be fascinated to know your opinion 😁

I like when Aaron describes his thoughts and feelings, and all the technical details of a perfume's construction. That´s what I enjoy the most about his comments. The more he talks, the more I understand the essence of a perfume. So, don't just say 'boring' or 'I don't like' - keep talking, Aaron!

I have warmed to you Aron. Your opinions are from the heart, not from a cash register. You both come across well together. Thanks for a great channel. Love to learn of Aarons fave male frags. :)

If you watch Aaron’s channel you’ll see he reviewed Fetish by Roja and he said he’ll never review another Roja Parfum because the materials used are not ethically sourced, so civet and castoreum are literally the real thing another reason why the price tag is ridiculously high

I don't want to sound like an ignorant or an asshole, but, im really curios how Aaron have never smelled or knew these popular perfumes despite being a talented and passionate perfumer himself? I really can't understand. Even a humble perfume lover know these classics very well.

I love Erin but agree with you on this. I’m a woman and I even know how a few of the Creed scents smell

if you know or follow aaron.you would know that he cares very little about other fregrance brands. he likes his own and he likes tom ford and kilian.

Salem, it’s a perfectly valid question so don’t call yourself ignorant. I have always thought the same as I’m sure others have. If I was in any industry, I would want to know my competitors and their products. Also if I loved perfume, I would want to try out as many as I could (which we all do). All I can think of is that maybe he doesn’t want to be influenced by anything.
@MrSamiam19915 жыл бұрын
On his channel he’s said that he hasn’t smelled other brands in about 10 years. Maybe more maybe less. So he is familiar with things like Black Orchid and Oud Wood. I think he purposefully avoided other fragrances to just work on his own stuff

I'm late to the party but this was just great stuff. ATF's presence, insight on fragrance, reminds me of me as I am with music. His brutally educated outlook on Creed, especially Creed, and fragrances is reminiscent of my view of people who just can't seem to let go of the 70's and 80's music (the good and bad), unable to exit that safe typical, follow everyone box... does that make sense? In any case, it be really exciting to see more of ATF on your show and will check out his channel as well. Hopefully sometime soon I can sample his work. Great job guys and thank you as always
