A great quote from Adyashanti on this subject : “Any energy that you deny becomes a demon for you. It becomes your inner tormenter. And you don’t get rid of your demons. You embrace them. Not indulge them, but embrace them. And if you embrace them in a way I am talking about, they no longer feel like demons. They are just energies that are available to you. They are just part of this whole spectrum of what it is to be conscious and alive and present. And everything becomes joined together back again. A mature emotional life is when all the different parts of yourself emotionally are joined back together. Nothing is put outside, nothing is denied, nothing is hidden. Nothing is unacknowledged. All brought together so that it can all come together.” - Adyashanti

I was diagnosed with multiple personality "disorder" a years back. I didn't agree to take a medications because I felt like without different sides of me I will be absolutely bare and hopeless. I remember telling the psychiatrist - "I'll not work on destroying them. I need them, they are all me know. So I will work on make me aware of them, not on removing on killing them". I really saw how much he didn't get it.This is when I I definitely stopped believing that any degree can really save you. And my journey began. Thank you Teal foe being so brave. You are literally throwing yourself out there to be eaten by the wolfs of unconsciousness. I'm felling honored to have a possibility to learn from you.

Brave! Can you tell us how is your journey going? I am asking bc I also had issues with what medication was suppose to "do for me". They weren't prescribed to help my development, but to help me stay operative in my job. Not the same. Jobs come and go, me I have forever. And incidentally, I was working in a very abusive work enviroment. So years later, I know that I made the rght choice on stop taking them. So I wonder, what helped you the most.

I just learned that in our body the different parts of body each have a separate consciousness. When my spiritual awakening began I somehow tuned into what I think was my body parts arguing over the reason I had rejected them and also being sad and jealous that I acknowledged like my brain but no other body part and my body parts not being acknowledged we're so hurt. So now I learned I'm an eco system with a lot of lives in me....im trying to find a way to tune in again but haven't been able to yet.

I've always felt like I had multiple personalities within me and thought it means there's something wrong with me. For me it's mainly music/art that makes me split, I can listen to one song and feel like a completely different person than I was prior to this. A person with different needs, tastes, desires. I have to admit it's quite exhausting and it confuses the shi* out of me

Is it all drops in a vast ocean? It doesn't matter if your conscious embodies a joker, a floater, a maker, a shaker....why not play with All of it 😄🎉 all of who you are and (?)stop stopping to judge, criticise, control (well, I do sometimes!) If that helps in anyway 🧚‍♀️🌟🌈
@internetfasting80085
@internetfasting80085 Жыл бұрын
@@iloveFreedom. Well...for materialists, the brain (nerve cells) is all that there is for a "mind". And nother else. However , even ignoring thousands of years of beliefs from Eastern and even Western religions, the human neevous system communicates with itself constantly. If it didnt have "divisions" in its systems & subsystems, the brain would literally not even function. Like, how a "foot" (impulse, sensory stimuli) , talks, to the "head" cluster of neurons. So even if you dont believe in a poly/mono deity or soul/spirit, biomechanically, the material aspects of "conaciousness" are inherently "split" as a requisite for the most basic functions (not counting automatic / somatic nerve muscle contractions , being involuntary or un/sub/consciouses processes, as opposed to "will/conscious/ego/personality choices like bisceps or talking).

I feel like there are so many pieces and parts of self, it's so complex, we've all had various levels of trauma and negative experiences, we have so many subconscious actions, reactions and thoughts, ways of being that we are unaware of... Teal has uncovered these things, brought them into awareness, and the only thing to do is to laugh at ourself in order to not cry from the sadness of the pain, sorrow, and hurt we've gone through, in the past, before having awareness. It's a way of making it light, because now we know we are better, for the knowing, in spite of the pain of the past. IMO, it's now from an observer experience looking at oneself. And so, it takes us out of victim mode relating to the trauma, and instead sees the bigger picture of the healing, integration, and the better we are for it, in spite of the pain.

I am glad you bring up this important topic. We need to think systemic to understand what we are really dealing with. Fragmentation can be interpreted and understood in many different layers. When it is first recognised, it appears to be a curse, a disease as you propose. However, when you understand that the rational mind and all of its aspects MUST fragment to be rational, while the emotional mind MUST use the principle of wholeness you can know that there is something else going on. The creator never gives us a curse. The hallmark of a master is the ability to take apart and put back together again and when you realise that - then you can also realise that it is not the fragmentation that is the problem. It is the dominance of rational thinking that wants to suppress the whole that is a problem. The fragmented human does not have access to the perception of the whole, only a dominating part. Of course this is a disease. The conflict is resolved when the rational mind becomes the servant of the emotional mind. This is the source of harmonisation that we all seek. This brings to mind the saying that goes like this: The devil is in the details - NO- that is wrong. The devil keeps us focused on the details and away from perception of the whole.

Finally a chance to get help and advice and understand this thing about me better. I'm very happy, you to have discovered Teal, so beautiful a being, and you know your experiences are valid. Just wanted to connect to say, you're even less alone in this, but I bet you already know that by now. All the best in your learning about this situation in yourself. dunno if this is relevant, but when i cut out grains, dairy, sugar n other carbs, esp white ones n increased fat n protein (paleo-keto based diet), my period pain went away! i was sooo pleasantly surprised! usually, im locked in the bathroom sat on the loo with a bowl n hot water-bottle, in so much pain i pass out. ive even begged my mum to remove my womb when i was younger -just cos the pains were that bad! i couldnt work or anything for a whole week! i'd tried everything else for 30-odd years, never connecting diet as an issue. some things helped such as reducing anxiety in general with meditation and learning to relax into the pain, but for me, my previous diet was probably causing low-grade inflammation, even though by most standards, it was a healthy western diet (low fat, complex carb focused)

Was diagnosed with dissociative identity disorder years ago .. however I just have to look at people and I can literally pick up on their other parts ... the ones that they would no doubt deny ... and don't seem to realize exist. The same people would undoubtedly look upon a someone who knows they have the disorder as "crazy."

Often times, authors and TV writers and screenwriters will comment that ALL their characters are aspects of themselves. Creative writing is a way to let these aspects speak, have a voice, and to bring those subconscious sides and protector/vulnerable sides to the conscious by writing stories in which all of your parts engage with each other. I would love to hear your perspective on this related to characters and writing, Teal! Love your content and brilliant insights. Thank you!

You're putting words to an experience I had as a child. My dad came crashing through my bedroom door; and I sprang up off my bed to face him as an 8, 9, or 10 year old. We were yelling at each other; and all of a sudden I felt this dizziness like a sugar rush. Part of me split into two. One was the silent witness behind totally calm and just observing everything in an interested way; and the other was still fuming. It was strange. Like a feeling of being under water. So I could feel the emotions with the second self; but they were dampened quite a bit; and they didn't enrage that part of myself. They didn't really sway it at all. DM

*note to self In moments of trauma our personality is fragmented We identify with the "protector" aspect of our personality, which was created to protect ourselves from our past trauma, keep us safe We push it to the unconsciousness bc it's uncomfortable Every single part of our body is fragmented Possession - let go of 1 consciousness to take on another. Split consciousness intentionally Be that fragmented part, talk and ask questions, accept then release "I now release myself from being..." Don't try to eliminate, but intergrate, to meet all the needs "the worldwide disease"

Teal - I just discovered this video and your Parts Work video and the concepts discussed have given me so much hope. It makes so much sense why I can feel so many different ways, and that some of my more "unhelpful" behaviors are actually fragmented protective parts doing their job (even when they don't have to work so hard anymore). I feel like I can finally breathe with this knowledge. I cannot wait to start on this on my own. Thank you for everything that you do. I love your channel!

A great example of having multiple personalities is work. When we enter the office we act and behave in a way that is appropriate to the environment. And the environment, being a place that puts food on the table, needs to be harmonized with. But when we get back in our cars, heading for home, we may experience a different personality. When we get home, there is yet another one.

Definitely adding this and the other video on the subject of parts work to my shadow work arsenal. Previously I was mostly attributing my “parts” as the aspects of my astrological chart- my aquarius moon conflicting with my leo sun. my scorpio rising making me seem abrasive to others, etc. I’ve been looking for a way to start resolving them. This is a very insightful way of looking at it!

You can learn from those fragmented selves, reintegrate them, ignore them, or call upon them to partially "take over." We do these things on a regular basis and don't even realize it. I'd like to see a part II to this and to hear how other people have done with these techniques.

I agree that we have multiple personalities, I just never thought of them as personalities, I always thought of them as modes like work mode, social mode, angry mode, chilled mode, logical mode, unreasonable mode, etc. Personality traits like conscientiousness, agreeableness, openness, and the others shift noticeably when people shift modes so can't really dispute what you're saying. However, is it wise to think of them as personalities and not modes? My point being I can see myself as a single personality with traits that can 'flex' and 'shift' within a range (and I tend to find that the ranges of my traits that I personally shift in has limits). What I'm worried about is that by thinking of these fragmented aspects of ourselves as personalities we might be imposing a complex psychology on to what would otherwise just be emotionally charged memories that can trigger a mode or a state of mind, or a way of thinking. By defusing the emotions in these memories, and with a certain level of self-awareness, we can learn to choose our mode.

04:04 🌍 Our internal suffering reflects the degree of harmony or lack thereof between our internal selves. 04:20 🌍 The world mirrors our internal state, with constant conflict reflecting our internal disarray. 04:34 🧠 Internally, personalities may love, hate, protect, or control each other, mirroring external conflicts. 04:58 ⚔ During trauma, a split occurs between the vulnerable self and the protector self, creating fragmented personalities. 05:18 🤯 We often identify with the protector aspect of our personality, which we mistakenly believe is our true self. 05:33 👶 We come with raw potential, but identify with personalities that kept us safe, while suppressing vulnerable aspects. 06:37 🧠 Suppressed, denied, or disowned aspects become subconscious, remaining unknown to us but obvious to others. 07:16 🌱 Everything, including inanimate objects and body parts, has consciousness and can fragment. 07:28 🩺 Diseases in the body can result from the fragmentation of consciousness within different body parts. 08:12 👶 Infertility can stem from fragmented consciousness in reproductive organs, reflecting emotional trauma. 09:15 🩺 To reintegrate fragmented aspects, we must first become aware of them, noticing shifts in personality and feelings. 09:40 🧍 Personality shifts occur in response to external stimuli, indicating which internal personality is in control. 11:26 🧠 Recognizing different personality subtypes helps understand and address their specific needs and motivations. 12:54 🎭 Method acting involves taking on a different consciousness, which can lead to deep emotional and psychological changes. 14:27 🧠 Intentional possession involves allowing a part of our consciousness to take over, helping us understand hidden aspects. 16:11 🧠 Engaging with different parts of ourselves through intentional possession exercises can increase self-awareness and integration. 17:50 🧘 Reintegration should be done with compassion, aiming to understand and harmonize fragmented parts without resistance.

Richard Schwartz's "Internal Family Systems" therapy model (the introduction of this "Parts" concept to psychology, I believe), is, I am certain, the new "messiah" that can save this entire world from itself. Teal Swan's "Internal World Possession" practice is absolutely the Ecstatic Mystery Cult version of this "religion". (I'm just speaking in metaphor, there is no messiah or religion and there is no "cult", calm down please). This is the Sufi to Islam. The Gnostics to the Church. The Orphics and Thespea, Elusinians and Dionisians of the Greek wisdom stories. This is the electrically charged Experience of Divine Contact capable through the filter of a set philosophy. I fucking love it. If you ever want to share some of your Advanced techniques of Internal Self Possession, I am here to hear them! I'm working on my own, of course, but I'd absolutely take vows and make sacrifice to hear yours.

I can't thank you enough Teal for this video, I just came across your channel a few days ago and I believe you were an angel from God. You cannot imagine how much this video enlightened me (I just watched it few hours ago) , immediately after watching it I spent almost 2 hours and a half talking to that version of me that I used to think it was sabotaging me and turned out to be scared and trying to protect me. I even apologized to her for calling her a sabotager and for ignoring her all these years. I cried a lot and wrote more that 8 pages between this wonderful vulnerable part of me expressing her feelings and between my conscious part trying to comfort her without blaming her on anything. (turned out all the fears and thoughts are from how others treated me or said about me and nothing is in fact related to the current situation) I even promised to listen to her whenever she tries to convey any message and that this is only our first deep conversation of many to come. I've been feeling lost for years even after surrounding myself with motivation videos and books. Recently it became very hard for me to even think any positive thought about myself or even the person I'm in love with even when he had never hurt me and he believes in me more than I used to believe in myself. I cannot thank you enough for how light and healed I'm feeling right now and I will be praying for you and thanking you every type I practice this 🙏 much love all the way from Libya

Teal, I loved this video. However, I don't agree with it being a disease. That in and of itself is an energetic rejection statement that's judging the occurrence of what IS. It's an expansion that occurs and the ego isn't able to keep up with the expansive nature, much less recognize the capacity of it, which is infinite. The Ego can't keep up with the expansion of consciousness. The natural tendency is for the ego itself to learn to integrate with the expansive nature of consciousness. Thus to sit its ass down, watch and learn. The expansion is consciousness learning to identify itself in multidimensional/multi-frequency mannerisms. It's also part of the increased vibration of frequency resulting in one's inability to keep up to the pace of change. People cling to what's known and grow fearful of what isn't understood. This is occurring internally as much as externally. One could say it's all too much. However, this is all a normal process of consciousness expansion. Your solution or practice is indeed a wise one, and yes...it is potentially risky for some to practice this without truly understanding what's occurring. The same goes for people doing psychic readings or any kind of reading or connecting to another person, circumstance, frequency/vibration. Regardless, good video. I created a similar one myself this morning. Haven't posted it yet. Different focus, but similar aspect concept. :)

So I had to stop the video because Teal was speaking about becoming your left ovary and how to release yourself back into your personality and it reminds me of an experience that I would have during my teenage years. I would sit and unconsciously (I say this because I didnt know what meditation was) meditate about God and how did God come into being. I would think on this so intensely that I would see blackness, emptiness in my mind and lose my sense of self. I would then go to the bathroom mirror and repeatedly say, "I am Jodie, i am nobody, I am just jodie! I did this repeatedly until I felt myself again. It was intense. The last time I did it, i forgot my name. I stopped doing it after that. Now as an adult I cannot get to that place again. These concepts resonates with me. The multiple personality definately does. I would think that all ppl at some point have felt that they have at least a split personality.
