Fragra Matics Fragrance and Vacuum

Here is something that you may sometimes come across even at a gas station. This is a Vacuum that also has a fragrance dispenser. Now, I actually did pay a bit more for Fragrance to make it work, but oh well. This machine does need some work. But, the vacuum was pretty good. It has a smaller hose, which is weird. The machine has a switch you turn to select vacuum or fragrance, and then the type of smell for fragrance. I went for Wild Cherry, even though at first I was going to do New Car Smell, hense the problem with fragrance dispensing from this machine.

My dad helped invent and sell something similar back in the 70s in Trenton NJ. It wasn’t self service or had a vacuum. It was called Select-a-Scent and originally had 2 scent choices. The car wash attendant would upsell it to people and spray the scent under the front seats before the car was vacuumed It looked like a gas pump. I’ll have to find a picture of him with one of the first ones and post here. Found a picture but can’t find a way to post it.
