Today, I am sharing a review of a 'new to me' perfume from one of my favorite perfume houses' Fragrance du Bois! You have heard me talk about this house before - I have many favorites and will link my previous Fragrance du Bois Collection video with you below. BUT today, I am sharing a review of the perfect summer scent- Siberian Rose!
Fragrance du Bois graciously sent me this perfume and I am so grateful because I have overlooked this beauty and it has quickly become my go-to scent!

I was searching for videos about this scent and am so glad you just posted this! This is absolutely one of my favorite scents and agree it’s a great summer scent for many! I will say I live in the Caribbean and find it goes sour on me in extreme heat so definitely encourage folks to try it out first. Still, as long as it’s not sweltering I adore it!

Jean- this is good to know! I wonder if it is the pear note that goes sour in the extreme hit. I love PEAR but I have found it can go awry in hot weather. I am just loving this scent! It is so darn addictive!! Thank you for watching. xoxo

Abby!! The perfume looks/delicious, and definitely think I will give it a try!! I am currently really enjoying your Chanel recommendation of 1957 for the Summer - it may be an all time favorite!! I wondered, since you were heading out of town, if you would give us a video on what you pack into your makeup/skincare bag?? I just returned from a vacation and was totally overwhelmed with the amount of "stuff" I brought (and did not use 90%!!!) Would be so great to "lighten the load" with only the basics!! (have FUN!!!)

I wonder how it compares to rose prick TF. Or tabac rose BDK. Or rose cuir or under rose Frederic Malle

Zein- that is a good question. This is a different animal than the TF Rose Prick and Tabac Rose. TF Rose Prick is definitely more of a Smoky Spicy Rose scent versus the clean, fruity floral that Siberian Rose. Tabac Rose is all about the Tabacco mixed with Rose but I find that one to be more of a gourmand. I have not smelled Malle Rose Cuir and Une Rose is more of that deep jammy rose versus this is more of a white floral. I hope this helps! xoxo

I am so intrigued. I recently purchased Tom Ford's Rose Prick after your review and recommendation. I am loving it. How does this fragrance compare? I would love to build my fragrance collection. I really appreciate your thorough description of the fragrances you review. Looking forward to your comments regarding the comparison of Rose Prick and this fragrance.

Hello Kathleen! So this is a completely different fragrance than TF Rose Prick - which I consider to be a warm, spicy, woody rose fragrance. The pear in Siberian Rose really shines through and makes this a lighter, fresher, fruity floral. The mix of tuberose and ylang ylang along with the white rose - makes this more FLORAL than ROSE centric. So they really are two very different fragrances. I hope this helps. xoxo

Hi Abby: My BDK Velvet Tonka will be here on Monday. I really like the way you have described this fragrance...was afraid of a heavy rose coming thru but if you like it, I know I more than likely will too. Is it a gourmand? Would have been my Mom's 92 birthday day and we had two weddings today. Was a busy day...so happy to have ended it with you and a new video. Did you have to size up in your Jenni Kayne jacket? I like this look....have one in my cart already! :)

YAY! I can't wait to see what you think of the BDK and I do think you would love this fragrance. This is NOT a heavy rose scent at all. VERY FRESH!! I am glad you were busy and had fun things to celebrate on your mom's b-day!! Always a tough day. AND I bought the Jacket in an XS- - I do not have much on top - so it fits true to size on me. I wear this one all the time! I might need to get the Navy one as well! Sort of a staple piece! xoxo

Hi Abby: Velvet Tonka arrived today and I love it! Somewhat similar to EBK Vanilla Intense (to my nose) but yet different in a soft and soothing way. Personally, I feel I can "overspray" this one (term I learned from Marcelena Theresa...she is a hoot!) It sinks into my skin faster than Vanilla Intense so for me, this is a wonderful everyday scent. Vanilla Intense I wear in the evening after a long day and a shower....settles me in for the evening and lingers. I probably overspray this one too but hey...why not? ;) Keep in touch. Totally different animals. TF is a dry, smokey, rose-- Siberian Rose is a fruity white floral with beautiful white rose dry-down. Very, very different. xoxo

Does it compare at all to Atomic Rose from Initio?

Hmm.... truly Siberian Rose is more of a Pear/White Floral scent than the typical rose scent. You definitely get a beautiful rose dry down but the Tuberose and Ylang Ylang mix shine through in this fragrance. So I don't think they are in the same category if that makes sense?
