As someone who owns an entire collection of fragrances (Chanel, Gucci, YSL, Dior etc etc.) I actually like oils a little better. I definitely appreciate my spray fragrances but oils are not only cost efficient but have really great performance. Suprisingly enough, I've garnered more compliments on my oils than my other perfumes.

Do they smell the same as the real perfumes?
@nursemaid
@nursemaid 3 жыл бұрын
@@ebukaaraka5607 Some can smell very similar but never the exact same, of course - because of the ingredients, concentrations etc. But in my humble opinion, you should go for oils that aren’t trying to mimic ‘designer’ fragrances - find a blend that is unique and that will be a lot more mysterious/mesmerizing.

To those of us who cant afford the luxury of multiple niche fragrances, i think this is great. its been a while since any recent review has been made for perfume oil dupes. If you want the closest experience possible, get some perfumers alcohol (or cyclomethicone for an oil base), buy an empty perfume bottle with a good fine mist sprayer, and mix them. ive spent a couple hundred bucks doing this for fragrances that mightve cost me thousands. 95% of the same scent for 10% cost is a win for me

You can also use everclear grain alcohol from the liquor store as well .....make sure it's 190 proof. The way I mix mines is 9ml of oil for every oz. So if you doing a 3oz bottle you would use 27 ml of oil.

For those of you who have doubts whether Zoha's oils, or any other oils for that matter, have a strong projection/sillage, the answer is: it depends :) I have purchased vials of Creed's Virgin Island Water, Kalemat, Egyptian Musk and a whole bunch of samples from Zoha. As expected, Zoha's EM (like any other EM on the market) is a quiet skin scent which is fantastic for layering. Makes for a perfect complement to your signature frag. VIW and Kalemat, however, are both INSANELY strong, especially VIW and the good news is they are both atomizer-friendly. Yep, I tried it and it works perfectly. Just please, please go easy on the trigger! Moreover, Zoha's rendition of Lutens' Jeaux De Peau is fantastic! I've owned the original and enjoyed every drop of it and since it's no longer an export (Paris boutiques only), Zoha's rendition is great to have. Xerjoff's Alexandria II, Lutens' Ambre Sultan, Ford's NdN, Black Orchid and Café Rose are also fantastic. Wearing oils is a different experience than wearing an eau de parfum or toilette. The latter have fixatives, alcohol & other stuff which accounts for the projection. Oils, on the other hand, radiate and have a different 'style' of projection and depend a lot on heat & skin chemistry.

I like the spray as well , for the most part I usually get the same brand as my spray fragrance so if my spray is soft performance the oil will back it up. Perfect timing...I took a leap for the first time ever and bought an oil of a well known high priced Frag just yesterday, should arrive this weekend. If it's true that these oils are THAT close to the actual scent, with performance to boot, it really makes ya wonder about the industry and their markups. I paid $15 for what the brand will charge me over ten times for, assuming I get similar number of uses out of it.

I prefer cologne fragrances myself I just enjoy how cologne has an opening a mid and a dry down 90% of oils do not progress the way that spray fragrances/colognes do and I also like to change fragrances throughout the day sometimes and it’s difficult to do that with oils but what it boils down to is personal preference we are all after the same result and that is to smell good so thanks for the informative video

I'm starting to mix the oils with men's body spray(BOD) and the results been great so far. You just gotta make sure the tone of the body spray blends with the tone of the scent. I've been getting like 13 hours of sillage and the performance is dominant. Like you can take off your clothes and when it come to washing them a week later the scent still on the clothes with a solid aroma still off casting.

To be honest, I prefer oils and travel sprays over full size bottles, cause they are handy and can be carried anywhere. On a date? go to the men's room and apply/spray on the go. I got a perfumed oil from MFK, they released little oil elixir bottles for few of the lines. I have one called Baccarat Rouge Extrait precious elixir, and it smells every molecule same as the parfum. Lasts around 5-6 hours on my skin, have average projection. but got the 4*4ml set for 1/3 of the price for parfum bottle. I just ordered a 10 ml perfume oil roll on for Memo Paris Italian Leather, lets see how it turns out.. :) Tip - You can use a dropper to extract the oil from the perfume oil bottle and use it in vaporised room diffuser as well, I used to use these a lot like this..

I must admit ... I've blended (clone) fragrance oils with (same) fragrances. In particular Tom Ford Oud Wood. It's a beautiful scent with serious performance issues. So I blended an (clone) Oud Wood oil 1/4 oil 3/4 fragrance 15ml atomizer and it's a perfect 8-10 hrs performance. But I only do this with low performance fragrances (that I love).

I feel you Justin. I've always disliked the slippery texture of oils, but then I got to thinkin'....maybe this is one circumstance in which rubbing a fragrance in is actually warranted? I was never a fan of "knock offs" , regardless of it being a clothing brand or fragrances. The next issue is quality and safety. The cheap oils are just that: cheap aroma chemicals, of questionable origin and you're rubbing this onto your skin. Not a good idea 💡 You're also more likely to have skin irritations because of this, too. The better option are traditional attars (perfume oil) from Middle Eastern companies that aren't a dupe of commercial fragrances. Better quality, safer for your skin in general and yes, more expensive----you get what you pay for👌🏽

Brilliant videos as always,I got a quick question, between Dior savauge EDP and EDT, which of them would u advice me to buy, interms of projection and compliment?
@stayfreshproductions
@stayfreshproductions 6 жыл бұрын
Thanks Enobong. The EDT and EDP have very subtle differences. They smell about 95% the same. The EDP is a little spicier and has a subtle sweetness in the background. It also not as sharp as the EDT (less citrus). It doesn't project as strongly as the EDT (though it still projects pretty well), and it lasts a little bit longer than the EDT (though they both last a long time). EDT might get your more compliments, if that's what you're looking for.

enobong akpan EDP is heavier, last longer, project good but not as EDT but longevity is greater than EDT. Dry down is awesome, I use EDP oil. Complement every day.

Just thought I'd offer some more info on oils. I've only started checking some of them out. I've tried Le Labo and performance on thier "balms" are terrible. I've tried oil from Dior Amber Nuite (hopefully spelled right) and performance is better than Le Labo but still not that great for the price. Why am I looking at oils? I've developed a allergy with the alcohol that gives me a rash. This means I can only spray on my clothes which don't give the kind of performance or projection I desire. Going to try Zoha Aroma to see if they are better.

Weird question. Will putting on lotion effect the roller?
@stayfreshproductions
@stayfreshproductions 6 жыл бұрын
Good question. Lotion could possibly affect the fragrance itself, as lotion will get on the roller and possibly get into the fragrance. That being said, out natural body oils very well may do the same thing, so there's no avoiding contamination of some kind. If you're worried about moisturizing before applying these oils for better performance, don't. They're strong enough imo!

Justin i have a question... Do they smell natural like the original or they are just synthetic oils?
@stayfreshproductions
@stayfreshproductions 6 жыл бұрын
Jariel, I can’t speak on the naturalness of them, all I can say is that some of them smell very very close to what they’re copying. Like I said, I prefer sprays because they’re not oily. But if you like oils or are interested in them, these are good.

for my cousin's marriage party , is it good if i apply a woody manly budget body spray and sweet sytrusy perfume oil at the same time but different places of my shirt ??? (assume it doesn't cause any scar on shirt ).... does it give bad smell or a moody woody sytrusy sweet smell ??? woody body spray will faded away after 3-4 hours and the sytrusy sweet smell will fight remaining time ....please reply me bro... what's your opinion about this 😁

@stayfreshproductions
@stayfreshproductions 4 жыл бұрын
I roll 1-2 times on each side of the neck, on the back of the neck, and on either the backs of my hands or my inner wrists. They don't really project but they can leave a nice scent trail lingering behind you.
@hamtechglobalresources1645

They project depending on the weather. Heat from your inner wrist and body will make them keep projecting but be sure to smell nice all day

Can you dilute the oil with a little perfumers alcohol in a spray bottle? If so what ratio would you recommend for a good strong lasting scent. 🤔
@stayfreshproductions
@stayfreshproductions 5 жыл бұрын
I actually don't have any experience with diluting fragrance oils, but I'm sure it can be done. I'd imagine that there are other elements that need to be considered when doing that, like oxidation, but a Goggle search might give you the info you seek.
