It's not accurate to say Sospiro and Xerjoff have nothing to do with each other. Sergio Momo founded both. He then brought Sospiro into Xerjoff as a sub-line, like Casamorati. Then, more recently, Sospiro was made an independent "house" again.

I'm interested. I didn't like the original cause it was too synthetic on my skin. Tried erba Pura magica & it wasn't synthetic but was a little feminine

Sounds great, getting sick of Oud Rose combo. I just got Perfect Oud by Mizensir in. Great light summer Oud. It’s 90 outside right now and I’m wearing Diptyque Oudpalao right now. I love Oud in the summer. In the Middle East it’s hot as hell and everyone rocks Oud. Great review, everyone else is hyping Vibrato, this sounds more interesting.

I have never smelled oud before. What does it smell like? Anything you can compare the smell to?

Oud is a very exotic note that’s been around for 6000 years. However it’s a very acquired taste and not for everybody. The best way I can describe it is imagine walking into a barn full of horses which might not sound good but it’s a note you’ll have to experience for yourself.

Hi. On your statement that Oud is barnyard is false myth. Barnyard smells comes from impurities. A good distilled Oud oil is no where offensive

Natural Oud which is wood (agarwood) infected by mold comes across barnyardy which is why the very expensive fragrances containing real Oud are very dirty and barnyardy. The fake synthetic Oud accord is what comes across inoffensive.

@@FragranceHunter Oud is one beautiful ingredient that can emit a plethora of different notes like Sweet , sour , Mangoish , tamarind , berries , hey , tea , leather , tobacco , forest vibe , green , serene , earthy, medicinal, honey and many more Depending on the region Oud can be loud or it can be soft as enjoying kodo art.... Depending on the distillation And Slow heating of good oud chips is heaven The bright side is ...... Many of the Artisnal distillers try to avoid such things by daily changing water and keeping things hygienic so there are good options option as well. But again, the barny feeling of traditional ouds is something that is subjective and not everyone can enjoy. But , not every oud has that vibe, the modern non soaked ouds have very less barnyard vibes. Ageing and curing is another factor.... Uncured oud oils can give raw cooking oil vibe 🫠 But it's good that most of the good traditional distiller cure it under sun and Artisnal ones sometimes cure it under artificial setup There are two sides of oud. One is about skanky ouds and the other is about amazingly distilled Artisnal ouds that emitts plathora of amazing notes. But if we see on YT , only the dark side is being highlighted. Most of the big reviwers call it barnyard. And it results in... 1. Many newcomers would never go for oud 2. Some people would buy cheap fake commercial oud smelling like tatti and try to convince myself that I am smelling like Shaikh and would torture the people around. ( Yessss I have done this too) 3. And all of them miss out the real magic of good quality ouds.... But with my limited knowledge and experience, I can say few things, - avoid synthetic oud oils as much as possible ( blends are good things but not standalone fakes) - if someone says his oud is XX years old... Just run away from there - if it's smelling bad... It is bad... No need to force yourself to like it -I would always avoid commercial oud 🙄 that's because of personal experience and the money wasted on that.... It's literally barnyard to me.... That's where I agree with youtubers - if at all anyone wants to experience it , try to source it from some good distiller who can gurentee purity and quality. (The last few points will come once you start exploring Artisnal ouds.) - no oud is last oud of the world. Never believe such stories to pay exorbitant amount. - heating high quality oud chips give better experience than wearing oud oil... But again.... Good quality of wood and slow heating is must - no one risks his life to smuggle oud wood from mafias and gangsters and get oud to you ( such stories are available with some story tellers to overprice their ouds) All fragnance use Oud Accord, even the barnyard. Try ajmal mukhallat shams. If it's barnyard then they haven't given u the real joy of Oud which is more 1500 yes old history..

@@darthteo tru. But a barnyard Oud is good Oud isn't true.. This u can experience from bortnikoff, Henry jacques, Hind al oud, Ensar Oud, Areej la Dore and burning Oud wood. The latter is the real experience
