Dude. It's LITERALLY the strongest thing I've ever smelled. Every time I go by the sample decant (like, once a day) it's all I can smell. It smells like maple syrup and coffee and immortality!

I love Bois Doré! Excellent for cold weather and so comforting. It’s warmer here, but still cool and rainy, so I have Babycat on. I’m not crazy about most hyped fragrances, but Babycat is one that I definitely agree with the hype. ❤ You definitely need certain situations in order to wear anything from Kerosene!

Hi Sheryl. It's nice to have someone around who likes Bois Doré. It's really not for everyone at all, is it? After I read this comment, I put Babycat on one hand and Eau Duelle (edt) on the other and went about my day. I thought that they smelled similar, but they don't, really. Babycat is one of those ones that I really didn't like at first, and now every time I walk past the sample I sniff it and want to put it on. Ugh. Am I going to buy a bottle? I'll probably wait until it's IMPOSSIBLE to get, and then pay a million dollars for it. And YES to needing certain situations to wear anything from Kerosene. I have to admit, though, it was PERFECT that day! And I even got a compliment! Thank you so much for always being here with and for me. It means so much!!

I love Bois Dore and my picky husband likes it on me as well. I opted for Angel Muse EDT as the EDP was too much. So I get the love hate thing. As for Love Don’t Be Shy, my daughter burned through a travel spray and I got her the Dossier version and she loves it more. It has more marshmallow and performs better in her opinion. I don’t know how you wear anything other than heavy winter fragrances for 9 months of the year with your weather. Hats off to you.

Hi Danielle. I love having Bois Doré in common with people because it really is a unique fragrance that I think says something about a person's tastes? Or maybe not. I just like thinking we share it. :) I've heard that the Dossier version has better performance than the original. That is not the case for the Oakcha one at all. Our weather is NUTS for nine months of the year, and I do wear heavy winter fragrances from, like, September to May.But I kinda like it. :) Thanks for hanging out with me!! :)

Istanbul by Unique luxury is a good alternative to LDBS. I actually think I prefer it. Love them both. I got a couple travel sprays of LDBS at the cosmetics company outlet from Estée Lauder

I had a bottle of Bois Dore but I could never get into it. I ended up swapping it with a friend and can't say I have ever once missed it. I have a decant of Unknown Pleasures and I have only tried once- I need to give it some more wear. Followed did not work for me- it was like I was wearing maple syrup sweetened coffee that overwhelmed my senses in a most unpleasant way. I have a 50 ml of Angel Muse sitting in my declutter box 😬I really need to be honest with myself and clear out my shelves down to only loves because life is too short to wear a fragrance and wish I had chosen something else! The weather where I am has been all over the place lately. Mostly I am craving bright, juicy, fruity florals, for our warm sunny days, and then we get hit with a cold dreary day (not snow/sleet/ice like yours, though!) and Tobacco Vanille got brought out for a visit. It didn't hit quite right, though. Maybe I just am a seasonal fragrance wearer...

Hi Lauren. Ya, I think Bois Doré is one of those ones that either grows on you, or it just doesn't. It's totally weird. As is Unknown Pleasures. Hiiii!!! Don't know if you remember me but I wanted to let you know I received my order from Kyse perfumes a month ago so I've been trying them out to get an opinion before I let you know how I feel about them!!! I picked up Delizia de marshmallow (obviously! Hahah), Oui plus, and douceur brulee 😊 as well as a coco a vaniglia body butter. The body butter IS AMAZING!!! The scent and the texture and everything is amazing and the scent is so strong and lasts for a few hours on my skin 😮❤ Out of the perfumes I ordered, I would rank them in this order of favorite to least: Delizia de marshmallow smells amazing!!! Its sweet and fluffy and great for layering too. Although my bottle is still somewhat new so the scent is a little soft and fleeting, but scent wise it's still my favorite. Next is Oui Plus, I can really smell the graham crackers and the sweetness of the smores too I do like this but I prefer to layer it with something else more sweet to sweeten it up even more. I also asked for a sample of Cacao noisette, which wow smells exactly like nutella to me like everyone says. Don't know if it is full bottle worthy but it does smell pleasant. Lastly, I am not a big fan of Douceur Brulee 😢 although i can make it work when layer with something maybe milky and fluffy like I am doing today with bianco latte and I really like the combo of them two, I don't like this one alone as it is just too burnt for me 😅 I am really interested in picking up more in the future maybe in the body butter first just to test the scents like bons bons a la vanille and maybe coco ala vaniglia in the perfume ❤❤❤❤ Hope your day goes well and hello to you and your hubby 😊

That sounds like an amazing way to test a fragrance without springing for a full bottle. I have every confidence that as your bottle of DdM sits it will increase in power. Mine is almost unbearable upon initial spray at this point - it's so strong it almost hurts my nose. I didn't get to try Oui Plus, but I've heard good things about it. Hi Heaven!!! Thank you thank you thank you. The weather was just so crazy that i though crazy perfumes (well, ones I think are crazy) fit the bill. I LOVE to buy Oil Perfumery to use as testers before I spend the big bucks, and the last time I ordered the oil from Oil Perfumery I thought I'd try the sprays from Oakcha as well. I find you can't really get a good idea of a fragrance with the tiny samples. I have tried Alexandria and Oakcha, but not Jiliana's. I hear they're good, though. I want Soliel Blanc, too, for the summer, and I'll probably buy the oil next time I order to make sure it's for me. If I don't love it on my skin, I know it'll smell good in the vacuum! :p Thanks for hanging out with me and taking time to comment. I'm enjoying our chats!!!

I live on cape cod where it never gets super duper hot ha but I still love the sexiness of soleil blanc! I will eventually buy the real! ( I hate buying 1oz ha I’m a big bottle gal I overspray!) but I may try the Juliana’s and oil perfumery as well one more time before I buy the real deal. It’s soooo odd that with all the Arabic dupes for so many popular Scents they’ve not done one for Soleil Blanc! I have a cherry dupe and it’s great! Before covid and perfume KZbinrs? I do. I really, really do. But sometimes it works out that I end up loving the ones I hate. Today, for example, I'm wearing Rouge Malachite (oil perfumery), and although I HATED (like, literally H-A-T-E-D) it for, like, three years, today I'm in love with it and thinking I'm going to spring for the actual bottle. So, like, sometimes it pays off.

Hi Sandra! Oh my gosh! I'm laughing out loud (loling, if you will!). You're hilarious. I've been to Ottawa. Do you know Dave?? I met him there. :p I'm still waiting for the final storm of the season. I would imagine it's GORGEOUS there right now, though. I was at the market (can't remember what it was called) and I remember thinking I could live there. But I live in Dryden, which has 8000 people, and I work in Hudson, which has 250 people, so Ottawa would be scary for me. :) Thank you for making me laugh today, my new friend.
