Frame Analysis

Welcome to Built by Design, a series of videos created to teach FIRST students how to effectively use Autodesk Inventor. Created by FIRST students, this series was made to be very helpful to teams who want to improve the efficiency, completion speed, and accuracy of their designs. This video demonstrates how create object sketches, or 3D wire frames. Using the tools already shown in Video 3, Basic Modeling, we create an outline of our robot's frame. When I create the sim it says no supported frame members were found in the assembly. Do I have to do something to the assembly before I create the sim?

Could you please explain why it always displays the 'Torsional Section Modulus is zero' error in this situation? See 1:34

These interns shouldn't be representing Autodesk because they just click through what could be a HUGE issue in the "real world". They don't even recognize this as a problem. I had this issue and Autodesk has published a work around. This issue is still in the 2018 version...knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Inventor-Frame-Analysis-Torsional-Section-Modulus-is-zero.html
