I paid for the ultimate edition and expected to get AT LEAST every content for the first year of the game. I was so shocked when I logged in and saw Genmaji Temple locked as it wasn't included along with owning Heihachi 🤦🏻‍♂️

While egregious this situation doesnt hold a candle to them locking the ability to take control of your character in replays of matches against dlc characters you didnt want to play therefore didnt buy. Tekken has always had knowledge checks but this seems like they now use those same checks to punish you for not blindly throwing money at them

I've been on a similar wave length to you since launch, the game has been a SHAMBLES and Bandai Namco deserve a seat next to Ubisoft/EA for DOGSHIT company of the Year Award. They have pulled LITERALLY every single trick from the "Modern AAA" textbook in only 9 MONTHS, it's comical. What's ironic is that im such a huge advocate of not buying BIG BOY EDITIONS, PRE-ORDERING, BUYING MTX etc, and THE ONE time i decide to induldge myself (buying the Ult Edition). I INSTANTLY get bent over and ass rammed... Oh, the irony! :D

You should be grateful they didn't charge at least $10 for the stage seeing as you only paid $120 for the Ultimate Edition and spent at least another $20 on other useless garbage. In fact you should send money to each of the Namco employees as a thank you for this low low price of $5 for such a beautiful stage. Tekken fans are too spoiled and doesn't deserve any of this. Yep. Could equally be true, that the devs have actual authority over this and want to make the bigwigs happy with sale numbers and not actually the bigwigs demanding it. We do not know. I know , that i deem it highly unlikely that back in tekken 7 a bigwig came in and demanded the frame data on leroy should be that overpowered. @@falconeshield fact. also what no one noticed, lydias stage his just the tekken ball stage, harada knew he couldnt sell a stage which is already in-game for 5usd. this genmaji stage scandal sounds like a predatory deliberate scam. i messaged him @harada_TEKKEN with a link to the recent steam reviews which were mostly all negative and he deleted my reply to my post and blocked me. this man is a scammer! i have no respect for him and will continue to pirate for each update. screw him.

So many of my friends who play Tekken don't understand how I felt about making Heihachi DLC, and they all said that I was overreacting/being old for pointing out what I thought was obvious -- that making Hei a DLC character was all for the hype machine, and equates to if Capcom made Ryu a dlc character in SF6. I didn't buy the "season pass" or "ultimate edition" because I felt that Tekken did not deserve my money/the benefit of the doubt, but after this spectacle, I'm uninstalling. If they fix the netcode and the matchmaking and actually implement changes that work (where the hell is online training mode and where the hell is infinite rematch in casuals?) I'll reinstall, but knowing this company, they'll bundle all of these things into a 20 dollar DLC called "the professional expansion". This is unacceptable.

I’m still upset that I bought the limited collectors edition that was almost $400 because Harada said there would be no restocks after it sold out…. Literally, two months or so later … they restocked and offered it away for 50% off…

They know Elden Ring can only help them for a little while if they don’t release more content for it, they try to paywall/micro-transaction Chipotle 8 as usual to survive in the meantime. It’s just real low to not give people who bought a ultimate edition or xyz to not get Heihachi and the stage with a season pass. And you strip the best parts about Tekken out of Tekken, make Hei easier to use with buffs, and stripped away the feel that Tekken once had. And the fact Namco forced heat, made it an easy activation, made it to where it was chip damage, is what did the damage. The gameplay changed completely and made Tekken in some sort of Tekken 4/Tekken 7 hybrid.

Even when I was hyped and got tekken 8 when it came out the box said "day one edition", and it was kind of a warning because of course it's day one edition it's release day!
