A true gentleman. Always seems like a nice guy whenever he speaks to the media and he races in the right spirit. He really went up in my estimations the year he had a crash at Le Mans with the class leading Corvett. Not only did he hold his hands up to it being his error he went round and personally said sorry to the Corvett team. Not many people have the class to do that these days. I wish him all the best.

It’s funny to see him enjoy with cars while, on the other hand, as the head of the company Perenco, he takes advantage of the poverty in West Africa to make people work in terrible conditions for miserable wages, in addition to polluting their waters (the company specializes in extracting oil from aging wells). He seems to live quite peacefully despite the weight of his misdeeds.
