I'm a huge (french) fan of Truffaut and I had never seen this interview before !!! :) Thank you so much !!! It is always fascinating to hear his voice and see him but also very moving because he had such a sad, cruel death at 52 only (like one of his idols, Balzac) ! Anyway, thank you :)

He is a little too hard on his film "Les deux Anglaises et le continent" because I think it is even superior to "Jules et Jim", I think "Les deux Anglaises et le continent" (Two english girls) is maybe his masterpiece, it is so moving, beautiful ! It was re-released in 1984 (the same year of his death) in the cut he wanted originally under the title "Les deux Anglaises" (and it has to be seen in this version to fully understand its beauty).
