I thought the same... Was glad it wasn't... Don't need that stuck in my head.

Had a little difficulty processing two simultaneous audio streams, but still nice. Think three times, at least - measure twice - cut once! Or design the damn thing in CAD software nowadays, haha. I remember these old Pepsi bottles from the early '90s. They still cared about the aesthetics of those bottles. That loveliness ain't coming back...

That school food looks better than the mystery sludge I remember from school in the '70s. Tree houses were built on the fly with whatever you could find ... measuring optional. Chug-a-Lug a " Dr. Pepper" real fast, then you can burp up foam. Seems to work best with Dr. Pepper for some reason.

This comes from someone who at one point worked on school busses, a lot of school busses. They don't have seat belts for a reason, they are safer. School busses are the most crash tested and safest vehicle on the road. In a 50MPH side impact with a tractor trailer more occupants die or are severely injured in a bus with seat belts then without. Instead of being trapped in the seat you can be pushed sideways out of it. Also, busses have highly crush resistant flat sides. In a rollover situation busses don't roll easily, the reason for the flat sides. In the event a bus is flipped on it's side the occupants will slide out of their seats and not be left suspended 8 feet in the air. I have been to a lot of Blue Bird, Thomas and IC bus training courses and the seat belt question is one that came up a lot. It was always covered in the training videos that showed crash test with and without seat belts. Also, the seat backs are high for a reason, they act as a padded crash barrier, known as crash compartmentalization. Heck, even the fuel tanks have crash cages around them. Having said that, testing never stops and new safety standards are being implemented all the time. More and more busses are being manufactured with 3 point seat belt systems. If I remember correctly a friend who is still a truck mechanic told me Blue Bird implemented the 3 point seat belt system in all their busses this year (2024).

What year is that film from? The calendar the kid points to at 9:12 is a 1960 calendar. The one automobile we can see matches a 1957 Bel Air.. The only other year the calendar works is 1966 and the clothes and hair styles don't fit that I don't think.

I think the kid buying the goop used a 50 cent walking liberty(90% silver), the good old days when we still used REAL money. That walker would be worth around $12. Dollars now, so if the kid kept it he could still buy a cheep lunch with it today, as an old man. 🤓👍

@@CDmatt yep, and the day seems to be coming when we can go back to real money and stop the outright theft of human labors. 🤔🛸💰

How clearly you can see the low light sensitivity of the film of the past. Also, how LARP was propagated as a propper social education tool.

He will grow up in the next 48 months while he have to pay 2$ per month. And after then he will have to choose to pay the final 20$ rate or return it and start to pay for another bike.
