This game is voiced by JP Dellacamera and Aly Wagner United States WNT wins 2-0 over Netherlands to win 2nd consecutive in a row, back-2-back, recapture once again and their fourth overall Women's World Cup championship. With their victory, the U.S. became the 2nd team after Germany's victories in 2003 and 2007 to win consecutive titles. The team's coach, Jill Ellis became the 1st head coach in U.S. WNT history to win 2 FIFA Women's World Cup titles. Both finalists were the reigning champions of their own respective confederations, with the United States winning the 2018 Concacaf Women's Championship and the Netherlands winning the 2017 UEFA Women's Championship. U.S. men's national team will re-qualify for the FIFA World Cup (exc. as co-host in 2026 with Mexico and Canada which qualified automatically) after The Yanks did not qualify for 2018 FIFA World Cup, did not enter the World Cup for the 1st time since 1986.

After the semif game with France, US confident level was at the highest level. IMO, France was the only team in the world which beat US twice in 2018 and one of the win was in US soil. Before the team and coach Ellis decided to face France atthe end of the stage, there were lot of doubts and even “suggestions” that US should avoid France until the final. I remembered to suggest vthat US should face their nemesis France and beat them toregain thei pride instead of hiding behinda defeat to avoid them. I was so happy that the team and coach Ellis decided to face their fear and conquered it.

Just as with flopping and faking injuries, when it comes to tournament gamesmanship the women have a lot to teach the men about proper play-- no "disgraces of Gijon" or the like in the women's game. Anyone who knew anything about the US players (or the French players, for that matter) knew that such cowardice was never in the cards. P.S. Every time it comes up, I find it amusingly ironic that "sportsmanship" and "gamesmanship" are almost the same word yet have opposite meanings.
