Mohamed Al Fayed returned to see the judge in the Princess Diana case in Paris on Friday - saying he wanted to talk to him about alleged British and American surveillance of his son, Dodi, and the princess before their deaths.
Al Fayed said he'd made the request himself to see Judge Herve Stephan.
Al Fayed was asked, upon his arrival, what he would ask the judge.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"I'm going to ask him about the C-I-A documents which were already flashed today and yesterday in the American press and the British Press. I'm saying the American intelligence are conspiring with the British intelligence to follow up Princess Diana and they want to classify this information, and to classify such important information which is based on the murder of two innocent people is not right. The C-I-A are not above the law and the British intelligence are not above the law."

After meeting with Stephan for about an hour and a half, he emerged to elaborate on his claim.
He added he had given the judge articles from the British press that bolstered his claim.
SOUNDBITE: (English)
"As I mentioned before I have great confidence in both judges and they have been very accommodating accepting my plea and my application for them to investigate the rumours and the articles which appear in the press in the last two days. And I hope the truth will come one day."

Diana, Dodi Al Fayed and driver Henri Paul were killed in a car crash in the Alma traffic tunnel 31 August, 1997.
Paul was drunk at the time.
Stephan hopes to wrap up the case by the end of the year, or early next year.
Speed and alcohol are still considered the main causes of the accident.
