That road is beautiful, but it still terrifies me. lol I'm terrified of heights (due to a balance issue from birth), and I love going on these rides with you. I have to keep telling myself that it's just a video, and that you are totally safe. Trying to get over this a bit, but some days it's just not possible. Love your videos, love the scenery, and love your work here. Your remix is just fantastic. Thank you for all your hard work on this.

Funny. I have more or less the opposite of fear of heights: not a total absence to the point of recklessness, but heights don't do much to me. In fact, in 1997 or thereabouts, I borrowed a digital camera from work (they were new then) to take some photos from my flat in Amsterdam. I tried to snap a picture of the control tower of Schiphol airport, so I sat on my window ledge and leaned out a bit. Then I looked down, all 13 floors of them, and decided to move a bit more inside. But when watching this video, or any of this videos for that matter, I'm thinking of how I would be shifting gears to get the best acceleration... Perhaps I should go and talk to a professional. 😀

Yeah, I was freaking out just watching this! I have a fear of heights too.

I do have a fear of heights, but I love driving in the mountains. I really enjoy the view and the steering over these kinds of roads. But because you as a driver also pay attention to the road, you are less concerned with the cliffs that you sometimes drive close to. My wife also finds that less pleasant, because she often sits next to me looking into those abysses. Above all, enjoy the views and never look at the depth of the gorges.

There I would have been on a motorcycle in the middle of June, the plan was a few days in Grenoble on to Monaco and the French Alps on the way home to Sweden.

I would still bet that you’d be able to go by June . I’ve rearranged my trip to France for September just to be safe but now I think things will have got back to a degree of normality by June. Hope you get your trip in the end

Unfortunately it has been too long since I drove there by car. Very beautiful route. And there are more beautiful routes in that area. Wonderful reliving of this route that I have driven many times before. But unfortunately that was already decades ago. Stay safe and stay healthy. Thanks for sharing this video.
