I've been there myself in the summer of 2021 on a road trip through the Vercors and the Drome in general. That view at the Croix des Toutes Aures (at 5:37) to me was the essence of that entire trip. Stunningly beautiful.

I wonder, how can anyone deal with an encounter with another vehicle? That road I see fit only for bikes... What can you do if you encounter, let's say five cars on the entire road...Or is there some system in place to prevent such encounters?

I've ridden past it 3 times on the D531. I won't make that mistake again.

No, it's not. I've driven it the other way around. It's beautiful and thrilling both ways around.
