Wearing the French royal symbols while singing a revolutionary song... I'm not even gonna point out the irony, here.
@lasaleruine659910 жыл бұрын
agreed for it is completly absurd for some guys to work so hard into reviving this era and don't even bother to take one of the many relevant songs available. I don't even get it, maybe it's somekind of a joke...

***** Why would it be any weirder than wearing lily flowers and shouting "Montjoie Saint Denis"? And why would it be weird at all, anyways?
@Gaetyno110 жыл бұрын
lakoweb yes you' re right ! @ Adam Jensen : the french revolution and the period of terror "periode de la terreur", well named, is one of the worst period in french history !!!
@MrFinessed10 жыл бұрын
***** This has to be the most absurd statement I've read in many moons. Since when royalist songs are associated with extremist groups?! It is merely paying tribute to over 1500 years of history. Have you ever read the lyrics of the current French anthem? I suggest you learn some history, starting with "The Reign of Terror" and Robespierre. Then we can talk about extremism... The only extremists are the ones who worked diligently since the revolution to deconstruct France's history and piss on the men who built this nation. For your information, France is surrounded by monarchies : Spain, the UK, Belgium, Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, Luxembourg, Monaco, Andorra. I think they're all doing just fine. Lastly, symbols of the old French monarchy are found everywhere. Even here in the United States. If you care to visit the numerous monuments and battlefields from the Revolutionary War era, you will find the royal French flag floating alongside the US flag (blue background with three golden lily flowers). Not the current French republican flag. You'll also find these symbols in the flag of Quebec (Canada's largest province), the Spanish flag, the British royal motto, the list goes on... And no one seems to have a problem with that. Most French tourists I've met were actually quite happy and surprised to see their old flag being honored in America.

lakoweb, thank you so much for being awesome and getting French history better than 90% of my fellow countrymen. Adam Jensen, you're a goddamn idiot, and a dishonest one at that. You don't have to be anti-republican to have an attachment to monarchy and it's symbols. Again, look all around in Europe: France is the expection, not the rule, and I dare you to explain to us how France is so much better off because of that. Finally, to all you French guys sporting Fleur de Lys and praising Knightly ideals while still looking at traditional monarchy as an extreme evil regime: make up your fucking mind already, you hypocrites.

We have a problem ... Who Knows The French Monarchy anthem prior to the XVe century ? Exepte religious songs for the king, we have only "Vive Henry VI ! Vive ce roi Vaillant !" but is after the Middle Age ...
