He himself is claiming in the video that his purpose of application was just to get a visa rather than actually to visit. It means what he mentioned in the covering letter was not his actual purpose and they were right to guess that. Spain issued a visa because it is peak tourist season and Spain's economy relies a lot on tourism and their economy has suffered due to covid so they are issuing visas leniently.

People who are commenting that port of entry should also be France, is not always possible if you are taking a connecting flight such as Lufthansa or KLM then immigration is done at Germany or Netherlands despite your onward flight is to Paris , so that is a dumb reason to quote rejection. Why does Schengen allow free area then it should clearly mention to directly reach main destination. I have traveled indirectly in the past and it worked fine.

Bro it got rejected because your first country was Switzerland even though appko visa France ne diya tha. When you take visa from any schegen country you have to enter that country first. Hence, maybe isliye france ne visa reject kardia ho kyunki aap france jagah swiss chale gaye pehele passport mein uska stamp hota first port of entry ka. Normally, France zaada reject nei karti woh bhi second time.

In France Visas it is clearly mentioned by French Embassy as Warning message is "upon receipt of this visa you acknowledge that France is your primary destination ". This is kind of a chirkut that coming with visa. You didn't follow that. So they REFUSED!!!

Your visa from France rejected cos it was your first visa and theoretically you should’ve gotten your entry to France as your first country being your first time to Schengen, it’s not written anywhere but still it can happen, this is my view may be I’m wrong

A similar incident happened to me. All the supporting documents were provided by IIT Delhi and I got the refusal stating that the supporting documents are unreliable/unauthentic while two people who also applied along with me with the same set of supporting documents got the visa.

Echoing everybody elses comments here, your visa was refused because you entered through a different country from where you got the visa. This is considered as "visa shopping" and strictly prohibited by the EU. Its always recommended to fly to the country you got the visa from and then take train or other modes of transport to travel around.

The reason for this is,what some people do is go to Europe to find jobs there and if they get a job they get their tourist visa converted into a work permit.
