That team was not legendary, and with all due respect to the others, only Frank Ribéry, Thierry Henry and Hugo Lloris were the top top players selected for this World Cup. Unfortunately, Henry was put on the bench, the French team were given a playing system not suited to them and the young talents of Karim Benzema, Samir Nasri and Hatem Ben Arfa were left home.
