France obviously won't show their best tactics before the grand Slam and the world cup. It is the fact that they were conservative that made them win this match. The bock's defense was very brutal, aiming the corner would have mean a difficult attack to launch against strong defense, so, no garanty that it would make a try

Hey James...we all thought that too here in France, but SA is incredibly strong and our team clearly played to win at all costs. We're starting to think that maybe some of our set plays are kept before the world cup but on the other hand, sometimes a very pragmatic way of play is the only way to win against a team as strong or stronger...Sorry we won't see the USA at the world cup, a rare thing as you haven't missed many

Barnes had a bad game. Missed a lot. Surprised France didn't get a penalty try when SA blatently collapsed a maul moving forward at speed and only 5 m from the line. The penalty on Faf for France's first scorwas another obvious one.

Barnes is good but the French try was a double movement,he gave a penalty for France when they had wheeled the scrum and said Willie La Roux gave a forward pass. Big question also that contact was lost with TMO on the review of the double movement. Respect the kicker is common with civilised people as well. All in all not good omens for the world cup.

the IRB announced this week that Kolbe's charge was not legal....the IRB also announced that 5 major fouls had not been reported by the referees....no surprise then, since refereeing has always been rigged in the Anglo-Saxon style, once again we are being robbed of a final. So the IRB apologizes...but it's not with excuses that you win titles. It's time to think about creating a European tournament that gets away from this Commonweath shenanigans, it's no longer possible for 99% of the referees to be Anglo-Saxon, and morover to see referees appointed when their national team is still involved in the finals. everything is biased.

Really bad referee, Barnes! Got overwhelmed by the crowd. The last try of France was 3 movements on the ground. The TMO could not tell him because the French cut the coms and Willie LeRouxs pass following was actually backwards stopping the Boks from potentially scoring. O’Keefe has already favoured Ireland against the Boks so SA will be up against it in Paris in the quarterfinal!

@@dn822 no, what I am saying is that there were poor decisions for both sides. For example, when you pick a player up and drive them into the ground head first, that's always a red card. That would have changed the game in Ireland's favour. Bad decisions for both teams. You should try to see when the ref makes bad decisions that favour your team also.

And the ref made many wrong decisions in favour of SA too, like the free 3 pint penalty when Makalou was on the ground, but not held anymore. This one and so many decisions were wrong anyway, on both sides

Wayne barnes horrible game. Double movement all day, anyone with a rugby brain knows that the french cheated this game pretending the TMO communication was not working. Sickening sportmanship from the french!!!head contact was pushed from kwagga. No replay of the pass showed becuase TMO knows it was backwards. That pass is what you call a perfect float pass . I do t want to hear from anyone “SA supporters always blame the ref”. Go back watch the game, pause and replay. To be speak truthfully, the french actually sucked!!!
