Sometimes, because you have the entire pitch vision and your HR below 60 bpm , you watch players, and you think : "why didn't he make 20 meters pass or the transverse 40 meters kick to the winger....". Then, you watch Antoine Dupont, and you think " how the hell did he see the 50 meters cross kick after carrying the ball through 5 defenders". His game vision under strong intensity is outlandish.

the first action is the best examples of having someone playing at a different level: is like watching a videogame where the player has all 99 skills. I think he just sees the game in slow motion compared to the other players, at this point best player EVER no doubt.

Everybody is kind of a stretch to be diplomatic. Just like said above me BTL it's pretty unanimous in world rugby that he is the best player in the world including by many bokke fans, who have the Webb Ellis Cup to be satisfy with.

What's impressive is the variety. He does almost everything, including defensively. He's not playing similar tricks (even if at a great level) à la Russell who's also very fun to watch.

As a French supporter, it is the first time I re watched footage of the quarter final against South Africa. And I remember that among all the bull crap that we heard following the defeat, some said that Dupont had not been good on that game. Let me have a (still very bitter) laugh.

Many south African fans online sadly are incredibly thin skinned. One of the most beautiful countries but a considerable share of their fan base is incredibly toxic

Dupont was massive in the early stages against SA, those kicks behind into space opened our defence like no other team. Having said that the pressure got to France, once they were behind on the score board that famous French flare all but disappeared. And some French fans were way worse than anything I've seen from the Saffas.

Dupont is the definition of french flair. What a player!!! can't wait for him to get back on test rugby. I'm an AB's fan through and through but this guy has high rugby IQ, impossible to hate him. He makes rugby look easy.

@@admiralstolensock3277 De Klerk never won the Champions Cup, and never close to win it. A team wins a tournament. Dupont had a far better game than De Klerk (who was good and is a great player) but SA were better as a team. Savea is the best 8 in the world even though he lost the WC final. We didn't wait for Messi to win the WC to consider him as the best player of the modern era, and probably ever. This video is a 10min career worth highlight of only half of his 2023-2034 season... this guy is a freak

Does everybody here know he is in the Rugby Sevens series now? Should be an Olympian come july. This first weekend of March 2024 is his second weekend (in LA) and his games so far have been hilarious. Major factor in beating the US team saturday night. He just exploded into action with the first try. Semifinal and probable final on Sunday.
